| Great to hear that the two representatives from Canada came out banging ie. Misstress Barbara and Richie Hawtin. I know MB is originally from Sicily and Hawtin is from London, but they both make their homes here now and is just great to see they are so appreciated over there, especially Richie, who's one of my fav DJs ever and I'm not even a techno fan... and like I said before, too bad nobody has rated Tall Paul as anything better than boring... acquired taste, I guess. See you all next year at GKGG 2004!!!!!!! |

Aye their right ing s. I myself didn't get any trouble, however I did notice a lot of them seemed a bit leery as if they were looking for trouble. I swear festie scallies are the worst, like at the NEC I never here anyone getting trouble off the scallies yet at festivals they seem intent to cause . Anyway some will shoot the dirty ing nickelson, rockport, kappa, addidas wearing scum. |

Well, having slept for the better part of Sunday and Monday I’m in a better frame of mind to write something about GKGG now! What a night it was! Nowhere near as good as the first GKGG, but fun all the same.
Some Good Points:
Meeting faces old and faces new form the board. Great to meet you all, though I still have difficulty putting names & usernames with faces!
Some quality tunes dropped – plenty of classics.
My seemingly un-ending supply of lollypops!
My uber-trippy pills.
Some Other Points:
Petrae Foy - It was only early but he was completely banging it out!
M.I.K.E - What a crappy time he’d scheduled though, 20:00 and only 45 minutes. It’s a 2, 3 AM sort of thing not 8! There were three people, one guy is playing one of those pad drum kit things, the other is “playing” a key board and Mike is fiddling with some keyboards and synths and things. I though Push was one guy, not 3! Started off with a sweeping synthy, ambienty thing then went straight into The Legacy, then Strange World followed by what I think was Turn The Lights Off and with an eye poppingly good finale of Universal Nation. However the guy on the left was never playing his keyboard in a million years, just mashing his hands on the keys in a roughly rhythmic pattern like someone on speed. I guess the three peeps can be explained by the fact that there are too many bits for one person to play. And also Mike kept on saying stuff like what tune is next etc over the speakers, and “yeah come on” rubbish – boooooooo! :( Despite these shortcomings, overall though Push was totally brilliant and really enjoyed it.
Tiesto - Not too bad, much better than when I last saw him, though by this point I was so fecked that I couldn’t tell my arse from my elbow. Sounded like we were hearing it of his monitor speakers not the actual system though. Three Drives – Sunset on Ibiza :D
Josh Wink - Some awesome tunes dropped by him. Spent plenty of time in there, really got into what he was playing. Saw some wicked hallucinations in here too!
Mr Cox – :eyespop: WOW!
Ferry – Only caught the last 15 minutes but didn’t really think much of Corsten – played that new one of his with I though was gash.
Jules - didn’t catch the whole of his set because we left before the end completely knackered, but the first 30-45 minutes wasn’t sounding too bad. Played Michael Splint Presents Eruption - I Feel Free (DJ Choose & FS That Mucho Remix)!!! I love that tune!
Some Bad Bad Points:
My uber-trippy pills. :p
Rain, rain more fecking rain and a huge mud pool as a result.
Mobile Phone reception.
“Navigating” back on the way home…whilst “resting my eyes” LOL :(
Getting a puncture on the way home :( :( |

Btw, i want to make my apologies to Miss Kitty i think, cause i maybe scared her :) I asked "Who was blowing who? Cause i want to make some pictures for the 'Ta p0rn session' or something. She gave me a look, like "WTF are you talking about!". She didnt see i was kidding ;)
And moderators, cant you merge the 2 review threads please? I'm posting in both :D :D |

No tribune or seating place i had to rest on the ground in the mud!
Had too BUY a programmbooklet! I think for safety everyone should have one for free.
Okay GK is not in control of the weather but they could have made a few water/mud free walking paths.

u cant complain about these things.. its a festival! :p:) these things are all part of it lol..
the sound system in the main arena was absolutly gash tho.. may have had something to do with the amount of holes in the roof of the tent.. water + speakers = .
as for the DJs.. not many impressed me in the main arena.. much of the same old stuff. obir was cool for the 3 tunes i heard, j00f was mint :D marco v was quite cool but nowhere near his best imo.. mike was gandalf, loved every minute of it! the rest can off tho :p
petrae foy was the ing man.
the global arena was generally mint, michel de hey was ing gandalf.. how many times did he play? every time i went in there he was behind the decks lol.. richy hawtin was my fave set of the nite.. veeeery gutted that i didnt see beyer.. i so want5ed to, my mind was telling me i had had enuff.. alan tried to force me in thee but i didnt go in fr long. with hindsight i should have obeyed alans commands!
wicked to meet all the ppl i hadmt met b4! all the rest that i had met before.. u were :p jk mint to see u all again!
