The White Rabbi
hello :)

i walked around everywhere with "trance addict.com" written on my mobile phone and i kept showing it to randoms.
none of them had a clue what i was on about, so i didnt get to meet anyone off this board which was very sad for me.

i was wearing a technics tshirt with 12 on the front, so if anyone recognises me, well im sorry.

i also had a poo oin the toilets there, i really strained and because the seat was awkward i got cramp in my arse muscle and i banged my head off the door and there was no water. lucky i brought my own toilet roll.

secondly, the 26th of july 2003 was the best day of my life

there was so many djs and i wish i saw more.
the rain + mud was a real let down, it prevented me from getting to other tents as im a quick walker and i kept slipping in the mud (not falling over)
i also wish there was a big moonlight thing like they had at planet love last year cos i got totally lost looking for the cigarette machine.
i saw quite a few djs but i seemed to have stayed in the main tent for most of the day. another thing which i regret, but it was top notch.

started the day with a terrible hangover, anadin extra sorted that. then about 8pm i started feeling really tired! so i went out and got food for energy, got a cheeseburger which was lukewarm, didnt taste of anything and the bread was soggy. all for £4! i folded it up and ate it all, trying not to gag.

about 9pm i was feeling top notch and was ready for chichi chiestino at 10. thats when the lasers really kicked in!
not many people were going mad at this point, i guess they had all been pooped out. i was still giving it large at 7am
my dj of the night was probably van buuren, although fergie didnt make it easy for him to start. i know a lot of you didnt like it, but i thought it was good. also i liked mistress barbara very mush, cave carnival and other numerous top notch tunes.
hmm
i didnt go on any rides, the bunjee jump was £20 so that plan went out the window.

oh, i also had the longest pee of my life up against a fence in daylight with a carload of girls looking at me. fúck them i though, wont ever see them again anyways
sometimes dance festivals can be so massive, you dont get to see everyone you wanted to see. a festival spread over a weekend would be a great idea, djs playin chillout in the early hours as the sun rises etc

pulser - my religion was my tune of the day. tall paul was brillo pads too for getting everyone in the mood. cant say same about mixing! i like dance music.

cúnt of the day - judge jules for playing plummet -damaged as his last tune. god, man, DIE! or something.

Event overall was good but could have been a lot better.

Hateful stuff were:
Rain
Mud
Friend disappearing on his own for 9 hours
Mud preventing me from getting between tents to see who I wanted to see
Mobile network not working and preventing me from not meeting up with some ta’s
Sound system during tiesto’s set being messed up
Stupid dealers acting like real scum walking through the crowds at the end shouting ‘pills’
What happened to Erick morillo, first couldn’t get into the tent it was so full and then he wasn’t even on

All the way there it was sunny and as soon as I stepped off the coach it started to rain and it never stopped. Gk could have done something to make the mud more bearable i.e. pathways between tents. Pity I didn’t get to meet with any of you guys, the mud, the music and o2 stopped me.

The djs I saw and my opinion:
John 00 fleming – caught only the end of his set but it seemed really sweet, I had been waiting to see him for ages
Lange – thought was excellent, me liked
Push live – again thought was excellent, loved the bass sound they were getting
Mistress Barbara – as at gk@the point was not impressed set was too much HH for me.
Tiesto – set not as good as solo, but still excellent and couldn’t be beaten, soundsystem was dire though, went up the front to get some pics and I was wondering what everyone was dancing to, couldn’t hear a thing
Fergie – was crap straight away, so left, why do people book this guy?
Armin – set was not predictable, as someone said, I thought. Was playing too much boring techno and thought he was not up to standard
Roger sanchez – I liked this, was a nice change, and the atmosphere was good in the tent
Ferry corsten – very funky, could have been better but still liked it a lot

Don’t think ill be attending any more uk festivals, the weather can just ruin them, I’ll just stick to indoor events and probably visit dancevalley, creamfields Czech republic, love parade etc. instead

my pics from the event are here ->
