I do not own this mixer, but here is a syopsys of what I've heard on other boards about it:

It just came out a few weeks ago. Inital reviews say it's pretty good, but the FX/Sample setup isn't as good as the DJM600 - but as far as the mixer goes, it works pretty good. Djx700 reviewers have all had the standard concerns that they have with ~any~ Behringer product: a) reliability [how long will it last?] b) resale value [what can I get for it when I don't want it anymore?]. I've never owned a Behringer product - so I can't comment - but those seem to be the two main points of discussion on the Djx700 (and any other Behringer product). So I guess we'll have to see on both - since the Djx700 is so new. But everybody has said @ $199 US$ - it's a good value for the dollar.

Yah, I own a vmx 300(duh, <--- :p ) and I never noticed any noise(like I read somewhere in this or another thread, too lazy to search for it now...;) ). Maybe if you connect this mixer on a 1000W amp or something, but not for normal use. If you are a club dj that works with a DJM600, the DJX700 is an excellent choice for you at home. It's cheap but decent. It has all the things the DJM got, except decent fx. The DJX700 does won't be the death for the DJM600 mixer. My only conclusion is that the DJX/VMX mixers are excellent for the intermediate dj.

by the way:

very funny dknylady ;) Had to laugh about it.

heheh yeah i made that a long time ago, when i was bored at work. :D

tiger, i looove your avatar!!

yes i might just get this mixer. i have techs, the pioneer hdj1000s, and ortofon pro dj s concordes. so i feel like with my crappy mixer i have now, it's like,....i dunno, like i'm eating mcdonalds hamburgers off of $500 gold china or something.

The mixer is (in my opinion) the most important part of your equipment. That's why I've chosen to upgrade my mixer first, and after that, my turntable(s)

i got this mixer on wednesday and besides a few effects that are useless that mixer rockz! worth the price thats for sure

mhh. useless effects?

and question: how long it will last?
and what is the weakest part of mixer? what will break or something...
Tiger777
Behringer usually produces high quality products that are made to last. Of course, it isn't a mixer that you can attach to a 1000W PA amplifier. (you'll hear noice then). It's an excellent mixer with an excellent price/quality for home use.

Ok, I'll ask this once more.... can you mix more than 2 channels at a time? 3 or 4 channels @ once? I ask this because I dont see a 'thru' option in the x-fader channel selector and I've read somewhere that it couldn't. How's the frequency kills on it? Faders? Good? Bad? C'mon please, a little more of an indepth review please.
Tiger777
nope, you can only fade between ch1 and 4. For the other channels, you need to use the volume controlers.
