Well I know my presence will be questioned, but I didn't have too good a time last night, and YES I've seen AvB every time he's been there, seen PvD four times, Tiesto twice, etc. I just simply don't like progressive and techno, and felt Armin played too many prog/techno tracks in a row for my taste. However, the crowd was into it, so I am not going to say he played a bad set--by all means, play to the crowd--but it just wasn't my thing. The sound system sounded amazing last night, and every time he dropped a techno track, he seemed to kick it up a notch, which had the crowd going nuts (except me). Whenever he played a gorgeous melodic track (unfortunately many of these were ancient), those were my favorite moments. I _really_ hated that remix of Andain--I mean WTF was that? So yeah, he played a good set in that he kept the crowd happy, but as a hater of most "bangin" stuff (except the occasional Marco V. bit), I wasn't feeling it.
Seneca, I only heard the last hour of your set, and while I don't like prog, I thought you did a good job of keeping things unpredictable and interesting--great to hear an opener get such a reaction at Vision. Maybe it will encourage them to book more trance!
Miscellaneous comments: can't wait til Chicago bans smoking like NYC and California has. My eyes were killing me, and my lungs too. It was awful.
The dancers just looked horrible. Those britney spears costumes--yuck. |

I loved AvB's set this past weekend - but I like the techy/proggy tracks. He kept me dancing most of the night and wished my friend a happy birthday on the dance floor. Another memorable night! Can't wait to see him in Atlanta.
PS - I like the tech remix of Beautiful Things - better than the original. :) |

This remix craps all over G&D's IMO.
Seneca - you should've done all the convincing you could to have Armin throw on NTNP, that would've led to utter insanity :crazy:

i'll check it out when it's released, but it really didn't do it for me. The vocals didn't go with the "music" at all.

The remix of andain is out of this world. Sounds 100x better live than on home speakers... the riff makes me wet myself.. or makes me do what my nick name says...
As for the hoes.. yes.... but i did enjoy the girls dancing on the platform at the end of the nite.. the ones in the short skirts.... hehehehe |

Yeah I got no complaints about the female clubgoers last night. Except that weird mannequin looking chick. She was just creepy looking (apologies if she's a TA) |
