I've noticed that the lot of people here are Scooter-negative.
They suck, you say.
WRONG.
I agree that some of their newer tracks can be found cheesy, but just listen to some of the better ones like Soul Train, Level One, Devil Drums...Even Rhapsody In E, one of their first tracks!
You CAN'T really say they aren't good. Besides, maybe they WERE happy hardcore, but now they are Vocal Trance/Techno.

| scooter is good, but I consider them now (in 2003), old school, respect is still there, and I think their best album is the very 1st one, "Where is the base drum? I need the base drum...." LOL... |

When i was just getting into trance about 2 years ago i listened to alot of cheese cause i didn't know what i was listening to, the first scooter song i heard was "Faster Harder Scooter", now if i listen to this song know ill probably piss on it, but i still stand that the riff or whatever is called that is in this song is pretty good...
i don't like the song, but the riff or whatever is good...this song even got a remix by Signum...don't blame them. |

Even if i was a HUGE Scooter fan back in the mid90s, in my opinion they were good then but nowadays they've turned into a cheese factory. One reason is they use the exact same sounds, same synths and same track structure in every tune they do. I don't like almost any of their tracks they've done since 2000.. Shame really. I once loved their tunes or actually i still do but of the old ones.

| IMHO Scooter are the most commercial and cheesy act in dance music.Obviously they are only out to make money and have no love for the music.Im convinced they can't speak a word of english and use an english translator to write the lyrics.I mean how else can u explain"How much is the fish?" or "The painted cow".However when i was alot younger i liked hardcore and "Back In Time" was a brilliant tune.Still listen to it today.This makes things worse because i know if they put the effort in and tried to make good music they may surprise a few people.I doubt very much that this will happen so i hope they die a horrible death. |
