its VERY bad that people like DJ Sammy etc are getting main airplay on the radio.... as it makes trance look bad to the general person out there.... a lot of stupid minds out there, that they all think trance is "Flip & Fill" and so on.... really s me off, dont know how you can defend DJ Sammy.... I turn on the tv the other day and Melanie Sykes and Des O'Connor's show is on, and they have DJ Sammy - Sunlight on there, and there are mostly grannies in the audience, I mean what the hell?
it completely makes trance look bad! :( |

Everyone continues to diss DJ Sammy and call him cheese- even in this thread :( yet he has the same producing abilities as alot of other trance artists. Personally i think it's great what Sammy's doing for the trance commnunity. |
listen very carefully to some trance (very carefully!!!!, close your eyes if you have to). for example blank and jones the nightfly rapid eye mix (great tune, f***ing beautiful!) and compare it to sammy and tell me what you think. hopefully, what you will find is that sammy is catchy but B&J is truly the work of a musician. |

I will do that as soon as i can get back on the hub :).
But until then i seriously do think DJ Sammy production skills are up to par with those of mainstream trance artists. |

none of my friends like trance (so they say) but the only electronic music they hear is the cheese from the radio. I really think if this wasn't played but instead our radio played pvd, avb, tiesto, shulz, on and on there would be alot more people who like trance music. they just don't know wht it really is. |

I've heard AVB/Tiesto etc. on radio before, it was a trance radio program in which they played DJ Sammy aswell.
Like it or not, Sammy is trance- maybe in a very watered down form- but he's trance. |

I'd call DJ Sammy eurotrance or eurodance...the Pulser remix of "Sunlight" is trance and only good because Pulser remixed it. |

you've been on tranceaddict for over a year and u say a euro dance piece of dj is really trance? wtf. yes ive listened to his cheap tunes and all of them r unbearable to my ears. he is the prime example of cheese fodder. none of his disgusting tunes have soul and beauty. its all euro trash . and like many here said before he aint ing trance for the millionth time. and thank god for that. i dont want to even see & imagine some looking smoker representing trance like him. |

did DJ Sammy DJ??? i can see the tracklist already... dj sammy, flip'n fill, ian van dahl, ultrabeat, and maybe a little dee dee to change things up.
