this is just my opinion. I've been in similar situations and I'm a jealous type so I'm totally not cool w/ it unless I'm there dancing/drinking w/ her. I just dont see a point in going to a club w/o your signif. other. |
Wow- you're an idiot. You said it yourself- You're the jealous type- get over it. If she is going to do something at the club she will do it anywhere- You going to lock her up and never let her out? |

i used to go to ARIA all alone a lot ...but i always had malek (with his video camera ehehe!!) and fastmp3 looking out for me!! my kinda security boyz...hihi! oh yea, and THE ROCK, a former security guard, who looks like the dog from tom & jerry :D who'd be watching out for me from a distance! hihi!
had anyone just merely attempted to touch me they would have been dead meat! :nervous: :p ...

That's a great point I was thinking about only ystd. Is it me or is the trend in clubs that play Trance is that it's not your typical meat market? I remember going to club like Exit and Sound Factory - fuqing gross! By the time I would go home I would be all greased up by some meathead's sweat and hair gel that also serves as a helmet. While clubs still are great places to hook up, it just seems like lately ppl are going to clubs mostly to chill and dance, not to hook up.
One more thing - there are bunch of clubs in Phily, yet when you drive by those clubs right before our 2am closing time you see most arests take place in R&B clubs, rather than trance clubs. You got more fights in those places. I actually cannot recall a single time when I saw a fight break out at a club that plays trance. yet our R&B/Hip Hop clubs get a weekly dosage of fights, stabbing and ocasional shoot-outs...
Bump into someone at a trance event - most of the time everyone is friendly... Bump into someone at HipHop/R&B club and you got yourself a fight, "What da fuk is yo problem, muthafukah? Watch yo fukin step, biatch!" and so on...

I mean, what if your girl told you that she felt like taking a walk alone around the ghetto part of town at 3 am, would you be OK with that?
I just don't think going to a club all alone is very safe for any girl, unless she's meeting people outside or immediately inside, and no that's not saying they're "weak", it's saying that there are frickin' criminals in there that won't take no for an answer.
And if you explain to your girlfriend that you are concerned about her safety, not her conduct, I would expect her to be OK with that. If she's not, then that might be good reason to suspect an alterior motive for her going.
Oh one last thing... mec, you never really made it clear whether or not you were invited. Did you want to go with and she flat-out refused? Or does she just want to go to a place you're not interested in? |
