interesting nite to say the least. considering at 1 o'clock i'd just left a 21st and on my way home, i thought it was rather miraculous that i ended up going at all.
i know, i know, missing steve and M.I.K.E. hurt but after having no preconceived notion of actually attending, Marco V and Cosmic Gate had to suffice, and boy did they suffice.
Marco V was relentless and so was my scatteredness at this stage, funnily enough i sobered up just in time to fully enjoy cosmic gates set. from what i recall, it was a set very much similar to what they've played recently around the traps. tunes i heard (or imagined hearing in my head):
opened with welcome to the cosmic gate thingy intro thing,
then cosmic gate - back to earth (S.H.O.K.K. mix)
basic thrust - pure dawn
JOOP - act of god (HardTrance Mix)
cosmic gate - the truth
cosmic gate - firewire (48 minute re-edit encore mix)
armani & ghost - airport
and easily the higlight of my night
westbam - right on <---- total-awesomeness :wtf:
now thats my best effort EVER on trying to put together a tracklisting, either i really sobered up or the set must of been that memorable. i think it was the former.
nice to catch up with the crew minus one julian reynolds, couldnt have asked for more ;)
i actually stayed longer at the recovery then the actual event and then i went home and hibernated for 17 hours. the end. :) |

Marco v rocked it pretty nicely but I gave up on id'ing cos I couldn't be ed and wanted to enjoy myself.

i also heard in there the marco v mix of 3rd earth which i LOVED
old school universal nation rocked my world
but yeah a great night had by all i'm sure... i met a relative who i didnt know was a relative, was disappointed when i didnt hear godd/esperanza in marco v's set but hey, you cant exactly ask the world from these guys... i shoulda had a sign or something to request it :(
but yeah all dj's in the main arena rocked my world... even though i spent the remaining few hours on my ass down in the back left corner.. but i sure was luvin' it!!!
at about 12.30 - 1.00am i went into happy hugging mode, answering reminders in my fone and generally hugging randoms every few seconds... all i need now is for a pic of my little joecool snoopy doll who decided to come along for the ride :D :D
again a great night had by all, good buddies, good choons, good vibe, i was feelin' great man! |
