I'd say it depends on the seriousness of the "crime". |
but the banned person should know for how long... and the mods shouldn't be able to missuse its powers either (ie ban someone for a long time for a small "crime")... |

Joeh is banned permantly from TA forums.
and when i suspend someone i usually let them know for why and for how long.
They are also given every chance to talk to me in PM about the suspension and if i feel i was too harsh, i will either have them unsuspended or reduce the time of thier suspension.

| I have a problem with a whole load of people having huge sigs, or lots of bytes in them and the second i go over i get nailed. I can see why it is important to have a limit to the size of the sig, but if you are going to enforce it. ENFORCE IT FAIRLY! that means no favoritism because your mates and if there is a sig that is obviously too big, do something about it.. and if it looks like it may have to many bytes CHECK IT OUT! |

Call me stupid, but I think the TAs are doing us all a great service. If I get out of line, I don't mind getting slapped, it happens at work all the time! Flagrantly violate the rules and suffer whatever consequences, like a ban. I wish not being able to post on a particular Internet forum was the only problem I had in life! :haha: Lol!

Gah, green. Unreadable i tell you :thepirate
Do you mind telling us why he was banned?
From what I understand, he had a go at you in irc and that was that. I realize that would have been annoying, but a permanent ban is another thing altogether.
Mabye he did something else I don't know about :p |

| We need more mods in TOTA. That's all I gotta say. And also don't be affraid to suspend and ban people. If you know that there is going to be serious problems just stop them before they happen. A la Minority Report. |
