i don't have major complaints about you people. i don't think as well that you should be any harsher. as people have suggested so far, if someone makes a single ignorant comment should be banned? come on. TA should let ppl express their opinions.. even if mindclosed and stupid. if it gets to the point of abuse.. that is another story.
i agree on the other points people have mentioned though. the smaller forums have some mods that are never there, and a few people i believe could be promoted to mod status for their work in there.
also, i don't think TA should be banning ppl because they did abusive stuff on IRC.. or in a hub.. or anywhere else.. this is a separate community.
apart from that, keep up the good work. |

umm, i dont have any issues with the mods here. BUT!!
thats prolly because ive never dealt with them. sure ive dealt with newbies and elitists and im sure ive pissed people off before. again tho, there isnt a great mod presence some places which can be good or bad.
the thing with TA is that were ~25000 yet there is nowhere near that many people actually checking all the threads all the time. this isnt easily fixable, yet in some ways appropriations could be made.
something that could save the mods some headaches and limit the rediculousness of somethings here could be a joining fee. ive heard great things about somethingawfuls forums and, not just because they charge 10 bucks. i think thats a bit steep, but the initiative would prove that people are interested in the future of this forum and Swampers site.
i think there are prolly a load of people against this, but this is seriously an awesome forum for all its niche-ness and i would hate to see it get further diluted|:toothless |

Generally, i'd say a good job, a hell of a lot better than some other forums i've seen.
My only gripe is with the way mods are distributed so to speak. As Nik said, in the amatuar producers forum, there are one or two mods who produce/post, but i'd be shocked if the other three had posted once (in the amatuar forum) in the last 6 months. I think that is a problem, as an active poster in that specific forum would be a far batter choice than someone who has no intrest whatsoever in ta's amatuar producers/never reads the forum... |

yeah, we've discussed the issue about inactive mods. swamper, ultimately in the end, sorts it all out.
the filesharing policy i think should be announced forum-wide, it would definitely save all of us headaches, not to mention saving a heapload of potential thread space. though, these threads have become less frequent.
we all do our best here to meet the needs of all the TAers :) and i'm glad to see overall, we're meeting your expectations.

i think there are some mods who consistently remain to do their job- they are fair, and will give warnings to individuals on here that keep breaking the rules (if they cross the line with any racial, religious, sexual harassment...etc). but...then there are others who ARE these sick individuals. i've had probably 2-4 mods harass me, calling me a bitch and a whore, to say the least. i don't think anything a person says on the internet, especially when they are just speaking their opinion, warrants a response like that. i don't even understand how a few of these mods were even granted the opportunity to MODERATE a forum, when they continue to instigate fights, promote harassment, inequality, and overall petty bull. i also think its unfair how SOME mods, not all, favor their immature dicks of friends, and let them get away with half the crap they do. anyone else who pulls anything like that is banned, yet because some people are friends with mods, they stay on.
i only have a problem with 2 or 3 people. i think for the most part they are doing a good job, but then again, i dont read through every thread and every post.
i almost guarantee that some dick mod will come in here and insult me for what i just said, too. |

good point. if tranceaddict doesnt support file sharing, what does someones role in there have to do with the way they act on here? even tho he was a bit of a goof, i still think the banning of raversurge was uncalled for. what i do in my personal life has no relevance to what i do on ta. |

This mod thinks you are very correct, ppl in power, in whatever form that power takes will favour thier friends, only natural i would say as friends always stick up for thier friends.
We are all guilty of that from time to time and sometimes unfair decisions are made. We do try to keep those at a minimum.
and i do hope that no dick mod insults you, you have given a fair critisism and therfore deserve a fair answer.

| i haven't been in all the forums but the ones i have been in have been moderated fairly good. I have generally agreed with all the calls the mod's have made and appreciate the time they put into making it a better site. |

indeed. this has been an issue we had been heavily discussing after RS was banned. like neo said, sometimes like that happens.
i agree with your statement here and i can tell you that i have not and always will not be partial to anybody. :) |
