i think the mod in the German Forum is doing a great job. We have a sticky on rules -explaining filesharing etc. He is quite present, closing threads that he thinks are inappropriate but he has always been approachable about closed threads.
Generally, I understand that it is _VERY_ hard to be impartial as a mod. Especially in the smaller forums, mods might tend to get into arguments and abuse their power. I wish that wouldn't happen, but i live in the real world -sometimes.
Overall I think you guys are doing a good job. A little more presence and coordination would help. |

I agree. I also think that some people brownose to the mods and gain the mods' favoritism so they have something to fall back on when they get in a sticky situation. |

I've seen some people banned for simply spamming a few forums before they know the rules, yet there seem to be people who spam day in and day out with nothing constructive to offer and nothing is done to them.
I think the Mods need to be fair and objective. There seems to be a lot of negativity and drama on the forums lately, this could probably be solved with the removal of a few individuals. |

the reasoning in this is the latter has usually been a non spamming contributing memeber before they go on some sort of post rampage, whereas the first is just advertising in every forum scum-like-people-who-make-spam-emails type thing.

All in all I think the mods do a good job. Sometimes I get the impression that sometimes they abuse their power, but then I dont know everything that's going on at the time, so it's not my place to say.
Having a vote for mods is a great idea. It means people aren't going to get bored and start slacking after a couple of weeks, and it also means it's gonna be a fair choice, no biased decisions and stuff.
I dont think the mods need to be any harsher than they are. Maybe they need to keep people's language and abuse in order a bit more, after all, this is a discussion board, so people are going to have conflicting interests, but sometimes it gets out of hand.
Just one more thing, people in general need to have a bit more respect for others on here I think. That doesnt go for everybody, just the odd few who insult people needlessly and cause full-on flame wars. I dont want to be reading that, and neither do a lot of others. Other than that, everythings cool!!

| I already talked to the mods that I had problems with awhile back. I think the situation is slowly getting under control and I respect all the mods on this board. So...I can understand were you guys have fustrations, but if you bring it to their attention, you can get a better response ;) |
