There are more than one DJ Mystik's.. at least 2. The one in the pic above is the biggest one, and he lives in California... but the one who released that "eternity 9" cd is from belgium, and he's a totally different guy.
The one in the pic above has only released "PROMOTIONAL CD'S" and therefore is not really making money from them. people can't get sued for releasing Promo's (or whitelables on vinyl) even if there is copyrighted material anyways..
He doesnt lable the track's artists on his promo CDs, because it's not necessary, he's not selling the CDs, but people get ahold of these CDs, rip them, and don't know the original artist's name, so they put it as DJ Mystik.
Then these tracks get thrown on the internet, and we have all these people on message forums like this complaining about it. |
thats what I was thinking based on that cover for the tracklisting. Very low quality, like a promo or a bootleg. |

I have Mystik's cds and I really don't think he is a poser. All he is doing on the cds is mixing songs like any other dj. I can do the same thing. It is the people that have the songs ripped on their computers that are too lazy to type and just put "DJ Mystik" etc., etc. Most of the guy's own work sucks and it is pretty obvious what is his and what is not simply by the bassline. Yes there are more than one DJ Mystik and as far as i kno, the one that releases these mixes is asian. Also, most of this guy's stuff is underground, can't be found in music stores, type of deal.
FYI I heard he sucks live but whatever, talk is talk. At least his stuff is out there, not mine.

this is what i wrote about earlier, that all the tracks are label mystik because people misname them, not necessarily him, like go search for paul oakenfold on kazaa or whatever, you will find songs that have paul oakenfold as the artist when you know that the song isnt made by him, i think everyone is just mad because stupid people think mystik produces his stuff, im sure if you ask dj mystik he will say he didnt produce it and whatever, |

it doesnt matter if he puts the artists names, you cannot sue someone because they dont put the artists names on the tracklist, nor can you sue someone because someone thinks dj mystik makes a song that is done by someone else,
like it said before, it is irrelavant that he put the artist names on, if he is selling them for money, then he should compensate the artists, and it was said above that his mixes are put out for promotions
lets say i make a mix cd, and i just put track titles, and give it to a friend, he gives it to a friend, and before you know it, liquidxxd is all over the place, are you going to sue me because i didnt write the track names and now my name is all over songs that i didnt make?
come on, you guys are just thinking of one side of the story here
just because you dont like how your ignorant trance or etard friends love dj mystik and they put the ablums on the net and label them incorrectly because they are stupid and dont know any better. you guys think he is the one who put that he made all those songs, i am not saying he didnt do that, but look at both sides of the story, one he labeled them that way, or two his fans did it because they are dumb. jeezus, i think you guys are making a big fuss over nothing, give the guy a break |

you kno what..... mystik looks as disgusting as his music sounds
we are all talking about the ASIAN dj mystik here.... not the belgium mystik. belgium mystik probably dont even know who asian mystik is.
yeah i have to say that you have to see this issue from both points of view, but i do not agree that dj mystik is completely out of guilt in terms of misleading the young ravers in cali. that is ing wrong if you know what i mean
