look at you, you are being very hippocritical when you say you are going to write a letter to the Riaa, i dont know for a fact that you download mp3, but if you do, you are just the same as dj mystik, i cant say that i dont download mp3s either, but i do buy vinyls and cds to support at least some of the artists, i have 100+ vinyls and probably 50 cds, so dont go saying you are going to write a letter to the Riaa when you yourself are downloading mp3s and not supporting every artist, at least when dj mystik mixes these cds, he supports the artists in that as he buys the vinyls. dont say stupid thing like "i am going to write a letter to the riaa" unless you have supported every single artist you have downloaded, its like if you get busted by the police for drugs and you rat out the guy who sold it to you, come on man |

actulaly, yes, i do support every artist i can. i have an album, cd single from whoeevr i can find. in fact, I dont even have turntables and i have a few random vinyls (a few as in 5). second, i was only kidding, u can usualy tell if i include a smile in the end. why the hell would i waste 1 cent for paper and like 4 cents for ink to some org thats already ripped me off quite a bit already? third, the fundamental difference between mystik and i is that i dont sell all the stuff that i have mixed. u dont see me burning x number of disks of my favorite songs and sending them to virgin to sell (if u wanna look find dj phasefour, thanks). ok sure, he supports the artists by buying a vinyl for however many dollars (maybe the avg is like 5), he yields whatveer amount of profit, which imo is not cool. if i were to pull a stunt like that, i would at least
a) notify the record company (lets use my fav, tsunami)
b) give credit to whatever artist ( 01- GOuryella- Walhalla)
c) say something like thanks to tsuami
oh and by the way, i actually do believe drug dealers should be busted, not the user, but thats a whole other matter, and we shold stick to the topic of the thread.

we may not be able to sue him, but i'm sure those record companies will be very interested in that little Mystik section at Virgin reatil in Sacramento (mentioned countless times previously). if this is true, the fact that he is selling the cds which contain copyrighted material used without permission from the copyright owners is illegal, meaning he'll need a damn good lawyer.

man those record labels must be dumb because Mystik and his "type" of "DJs" have been out for a while and nothing has happened to ANY of them... :rolleyes: |

I highly doubt he produced it or any track is spins. The closest track to what he put is: Dolphin's Mind - Into the Blue.
I have a full CD rip of one of his albums, this is not something that someone downloaded and then renamed the tracks.

When I first got into trance, God knows how long ago, I thought that he actually made all those tracks. But little did I know until I aquired Dream Dance volume 17. Practically every single track that was on Mystik's album (the tracks listed above) were in fact on DD17. Not only did he just ommit the artist's title, but he even renamed the track names! Take for instance, #15, China's Infinity. It is actually CJ Stone - Infinity. That is NOT promotion of the artist except himself.

ah sorry about that, didnt see the smiley face at the end, ya, sorry for getting off topic there, if i had known that was a sarcastic response about writing to the riaa then i wouldnt have responded that way, so i guess that thing about the sac virgin megastore could be a big deal, ijust say the best way to handle if anyone really wants to is to let the record company know about it, and let them handle the rest =), so ya, personally i dont care about mystik, i was just trying to take a look at this issue from both sides, which, i think is what needs to be done in any situation |

Well technically they are listening to some amazing songs bur they aren't by the artist they think they're by. I mean come on no artist can have that many good songs on every single lbum they put out and make that many songs. |
