i think that a courier service would be a mad idea, or some kind of system where you can actually pick up your records or something, kinda annoying that i have to wait till tuesday for records, when i live 5 mins drive away from kew :|

i think a retail outlet for Vinylwarning.com.au is the next logical step....

i think that would be an excellent addition to this business..

not sure if its viable enough, but i think picking the right locality is paramount.

That's why :D

Sometimes the newsletter is half a meg, which is pretty massive for an email. When you're on dialup like me it takes so long to download I usually just delete it straight off the server.

Also if people have Hotmail, that one message takes up about 25% of your available space, so if it pushes your account over the limit you might miss out on other emails...

BTW, you can always see the newsletter via our website here: http://www.vinylwarning.net.au/news.html

im on adsl, and while i download it quick enough it takes a while to render in my email client. Text only would be far better.

yeah an optional text-only email would be good.

yeah soulopla & 00soupskitchen00 kinda hit on the idea but not necessarily a retail outlet, just any physical presence (even a booth) where local customers can come pick up their orders. for me knowing that i dont have to pay that extra amount of shipping would be an incentive to order maybe a nother piece of vinyl goodness... but thats just me.

just letting you VW's know that the copy of "Johan Gielen - Velvet Moods" was shot when i tried playing it.

ive sent it back like someone told me to (forgot who i spoke to at the kew office). he advised me that i would be receiving a credit of the actual amount that certain vinyl cost. i have received no word so far.

not meaning to dampen down the appreciation for VW, in fact i think you guys do a terrific service. just curious about the whole damaged goods procedure in cases like these.

cheers

just make sure you email to right party.. i had a damaged vinyl, and they actually replaced it with another vinyl.. so just be persistant, yet patient, and they will do the right thing.. i Promise You..

they're a damn good company

yeah somebody took a note down, just hoping it wasn't piffed in the bin after i hung up the phone.

not meaning to sound rude, but i work in the finance industry and i frequently bin most the messages i take down. maybe its karma.

was just a curiosity thing :) no animosity what so ever

forums i think would be a good idea.
that way, you'd be able to tailor stock and complaints to loyal customers. it'd only be such ppl who'd frequent the forums. i assume that'd be easier to tackle than 70+ individual emails sent to you guys.

physical means of picking up vinyl? customer wise great, busines wise, maybe distracting. i'd imagine it irritating if you were to be running errands for ur business, and every half an hour, somebody drops by to pick up vinyl, then u'd look for their order, find their stock, hand it to them etc. too disruptive?

text only subscriptions pls.
like juno, but including the sample links :)
