Soul Brotha' #1..................................Mr James Brown
The Afrobeat king..............................Fela Anikulapo-Kuti
The little lady with the crazy outfits...Bjork

To tell you the truth, as of late I have enjoyed myself much more going out and listening to live music rather than going out and hearing _______ DJ. Here's a list of some bands that are really doing it for me right now.

Funk/Soul:
Sharon Jones and The Dap Kings... http://www.daptonerecords.com/
Sugarman3......................................... http://www.sugarman3.com/
Dirt Rife and The Funky Bullets

Afrobeat:
Antibalas............................................. http://www.antibalas.com/
La Femme Nameless
Los Barbudos

These bands are always playing in the metropolitan area at a very accesible price and most importantly their is a great vibe at every show. I advise you to sieze the opportunity if you hear of one of their upcoming gigs.

Depeche Mode
and
Alanis Morissette

Your House

"I went to your house, I walked up the stairs
I opened your door without ringing the bell
I walked down the hall into your room
Where I could smell you
And I shouldn't be here without permission
I shouldn't be here

Would you forgive me love if I dance in your shower
Would you forgive me love if I laid in your bed
Would you forgive me love if I stay all afternoon

I took off my clothes, put on your robe
I went through your drawers and I found your cologne
I went down to the den, found your CD's
And I played your Joni
And I shouldn't stay long, you might be home soon
I shouldn't stay long

(chorus)

I burn your incense, I ran a bath
Noticed a letter that sat on your desk
It said "Hello love, I love you so love
Meet me at midnight"
And no, it wasn't my writing, I better go soon
It wasn't my writing

So forgive me love if I cry in your shower
So forgive me love for the salt in your bed
So forgive me love if I cry all afternoon
..."

Great taste in music. Not often I run into a Red Flag fan. Took me 8 years to hunt down everything they released.
