this actually makes me wanna go do some research on low-frequency noises; i've read somewhere that there are some extremely low-freq sounds that affect our heartbeat or something... psychoactive sounds :nervous:

extremely low frequency noises make you anxious/uncomfortable. Things like ghost sightings or feeling the presense of "spirits" have been attributed to very low, inaudible (less than 20 hz) noise/sound.

scratch that, brown noise is the best... generating 40,000 Hz noises in cooledit, even though i can't hear >19,000 :D

actually, i just generated some noises in cooledit, and disregarding soundcard / headphone error, i can hear stuff from 20Hz to 22800 hz

on a sidenote, are there any tune with melodies made out of DTMF (phone #) signals? that'd be leet.

back to power noise - :p

haha, white noise is not what u think it is. i suggest u download some of sutcliffe jügend's productions to hear it. sometimes, white noise can be very disturbing. this release is pretty good ;)

that was a joke. black noise will actually put u to sleep... ok, the thing is people tend to categorize everything. just like u classify different trance sub-genres, so noiseheads label different types of noise with different names. except u can't describe noise as hard, melodic, progressive or whatever. therefore it is categorized according to predominant resonant frequences and also according to they way they are transmitted. this is more of a physical thing than musical. see here for further info.

PRetty damn amasing how much research n is in this stuff it truly is the musical equivalent of abstract art

HEY i love this ! iTS Noizecore. it's normally complied with industrail and digicore music

I think i heard something like this about 450bpm to 500++ BPM
Frazzbass - Ready 4 Destruction (Hypersonik Remix) i reckon its a very very old gabber track (not belonging to the thunderdome family) but i don't know which record or country it came from, most likely netherlands or italy. This style is really the fastest music ever. Its fractured, distroted, desimated to abyssimal digitz.. Don't you think its like a "Fill" of a ordinary "Gabber" track?

Oh yea whats the original track which is sampled, is it by datura?

it's not as bad as you might think

LOL, I know what you mean!!

Merzbow, 60 cd in about 11 years. And someone released a 50 cd box set of rare and early work.
Where's the effort ?
Looking at the first video, and this is the one im judging all of this from, as one other here mentioned, Merzbow sits infront of a laptop, looks really bored, and puts filters over a wave.

I acknowledge that some listen to this. No problem, but please explain to me the meaning, the art, the appreciation of that. Can't wait to hear.

If anything, i see the factor of revolt and dispear/displeaseing, of non-followers, as a form of rebellion, hence the "cool" (intimidating ? ) teen-pleasing graphics/band names surrounding this. Anything else ?

Cheers

interesting yes, but that's about all i can say about it.

maybe the fact that i'm at least amused by this means that if i was in a different mood i'd be into it.

if posssible, try to get a hold of this book by douglas kahn. his research is on how, why, and when noise came to be part of aural art as a form of avant-garde expression. the book is very well written and has a tremendous amount of material inside (it's over 400 pages long) that should give u a good insight on what art of noise is all about. read it!
