Israel is the biggest threat to world peace?

it only shows how much the news reports in eourope are biased.
one of the officials of the Israeli Foreign ministry, gave scary exmpales for this from Spanish news-papers,
one them was,
that right after the suicide bombing in Sbarro Restaurant in jerusalem (killing aporx. 20 people (i cant remember) ) the paper said : "Bush is worried that israel wants to exterminate the palestinian people" |

no but we're Europe, we are so much smarter and wiser then everyone else! We don't let our TV make biased reports and propogate us... we know better... we are informed and have good foreign policy understanding and opinion...

When will the Europeans learn they are just like everyone else, they need to get off their moral ladder and see face to face with the rest of the world. |

Why do u call everyone and everyting Biased because they are against your regime??it seems to me that since u are not hearing what u wanna hear u call everything and everyone biased.Why dont you at least admit that ur government is an optical against the peace in middle east,and yes I know bothe sides have done things wrong,Iam not saying the Palastinian government is perfect either.
I just hope you realize that Isreali government isnt great as you might think.
So please stop calling everything that is against your beliefs biased. |

If Israel were to invade Palestinian areas and kill Arafat probably transfer several thousdan Palestinains (worst possible case scenario), which Israel is capable of, what would the world-wide reaction be?
I'll tell you, sanctions probably, and some terrorists would be really pissed.
Now if North Korea were to invade all of South Korea, kill their prime-minister, or if Iran was to Invade Iraq and kill the current interm president, you know what the world reaction would be? Probably the closest thing we could get to WWIII. |

i agree. i'm even insulted by such a poll. there is nothing israel would like better then to live in peace with this world. i hate to generalize, but when i say that i am speaking for almost the entire israeli population |

its not true!
i dont call everything biased, i used this meaning of the word only last time in the recent Palestinian's post.... thats all, so please dont generalize!
only people that dont understand whats realy going here can say, that a democracy (that already signed agreements with 2 arab neighbours and returned big land) is more dangeraous to world peace than N.Korea that is the closest thing today to Hitler's Geramny (+ Atom Weapons).
and Iran that spreads hatred and money for terror all across middle east...
and i can go on and on....
but whats the point realy?

ya ok,it is Isreal and the U.S that are far from reality,and think every arab country or muslim supports terrorism.
Even if one day the whole world tells Isreal that they are wrong,with the way they are treating the Palastinian people you'll probabaly will call them bias and say that they distored from reality. |

- After talking to my historian teacher about the situation with Israel and Palestine, I have come to my own conclusion. I never wanted to give a certain opinion on this, cause I really didnt have that much of an idea of why the situation. - For my understing, Israel was funded by the British and US so jews could settle after the WWII. So basically, those lands were really taken from the Palestine.- Then, Israel really made the muslims around it look ridiculous after this one war. And thats when they obtain hate against Irael. right?!?.. or at least strengthen it. Then after, Israel and been eating more and more land.. really pissing the Palestine off, more when all that land was once theirs, or lived in it.
- Well, it would be nice to see the Israelis get along with the Palestine and such, but its just an obvious reason of why the hate against Israel, and why Israel is got so much hate against it. ever since WWII. So rally, when it comes to land issues, I would really have to agree with the Palestine. And if theres anyone to blame, Id blame the US and British for making the Israeli state in there. or for atleast funding it there. But I know.. its all because of the old history and yes yes. All I know is, people around there will never live in peace and happy.
Its obvious good to hear the Isralies side, but I also listen to the others side. And I concour with both sides on some issues, but really, Israel needs to get is mind and heads together, and really see how they are taking up the lands. Either for security or not.. its wrong.. especially that fence. Thats like the spark for the trouble in there. |

Iam glad that you understand whats REALLY going on there,but prepared to get flamed from some of the Isreali TAs on this board,since Iam sure they gonna call your opinions biased and that you are brainwashed or something.Once again I wanna say that you've come up with a great conclusion and and some great FACTS.
The Fence is a big peoblem to achieve peace,and it shows just how pathatic the Isreali government really is. |
