Mec, jealousy is often born of insecurity.
So first try to look at why you might be feeling insecure...
is it your first relationship? is it because of the way this relationship started (she was cheating on someone else to be with you)? are you typically a good boyfriend? are you insecure because of the long distance thing? Does she make you insecure because she puts you down a lot or is overly critical?
Try to figure out why. That might help YOU handle the situation.
Otherwise try to organize your thoughts. So you can discuss it without attacking her. Its really hard to communicate when two people are in attack/defend mode. If you can express your thoughts in terms of YOUR feelings (versus her actions), the conversation should go better. Because it sounds like she respects your feelings.
No one likes to be called names or attacked but most people are receptive to others feelings and if she knows chatting online bothers you and she understands why it bothers you...she might stop for the relationship... or she might work out a compromise with you. |

i broke up with my chic of 7 years a couple months back and DAMN am i glad i did it rather than stay in a relationship that wasnt making me happy...worst 2 things you can do are stay with someone for the wrong reasons or end up with the wrong person for the right reasons
just do what you think is right and its the best choice dude
(*side note* the ex didnt like trance...shoulda dumped her long ago for that alone) |

very good advise....thats what happened to me, i wish i would of figured out sooner not 5 years into the relationship...oh well 5 years of experience ;)

being someone who is very educated about STDs (as in, scared less of getting them, so i ask my doctor/s tons of questions), these kind of statements irk me. so, here are a few facts about herpes:
the statistic is either 1 in 4 or 1 in 3 people have herpes (pretty sure its 1 in 3). herpes is one of those STDs, like HPV, which often doesn't show symptoms. thus, it gets spread around a lot. in addition, there isn't really an accurate test for it. i had always assumed that the "all-in-one" test i get during my annual covered herpes.. but alas, my doctor mentioned the last time how there is only a blood test for herpes, but it isn't very accurate, because ... so in general, you only know you have it if you have a break-out (just like HPV).
i don't know.. i think it is really ignorant for people to assume someone who has an STD is a slut. hell, 75% of sexually active people have HPV, most dont know they have it. 1/3 is a pretty damn high number too, for herpes. you could get either of those STDs from the first person you are with. luck of the draw. (and statistically speaking, the odds are very, very against you.)
condoms absolutely don't protect against HPV. fairly certain they are not very effective against herpes either (especially if you have sores).

see my above comment about there not being a very effective test for herpes. you should have educated yourself on STDs before deciding to have sex, and realized that you were taking a risk. you took the risk, and you are now one of a LOAD of people who has a STD. its not the end of the world, for christ's sake. don't act like it is.

Hehe, sorry, I'm on my parents' computer now. My brother spilled beer on my keyboard so it's all ed up. I was just gonna see if anyone could figure out what I was saying- they're actual sentences, just some extra letters and numbers in between. I got on it today and it's gotten worse! |
