It was louder (more powerful), they got some new speakers in during the week. The tech there had it all configured, but found out at about 6pm on friday night that they weren't going to use the standard (and higher quality) mixer. The sound wasn't totally reconfigured (something that took 3 days to do????) for the temp mixer, so leveling would of been a bit of. The quality in there tonight should sound as good as Space, if not better.
Darren Tate vs Jono Grant - Nocturnal Creatures was in there somewhere as well.
As was The Olmec Heads - Spiritiulised

The sound at Gas has always been terrible and after hearing how good the sound is at Space, it sounds even worse!
Thats why i bring ear plugs, Gas was fine last night with ear plugs :thepirate |

Agreed :) Earplugs rock it SO hard :) Sound is really clear, it's easier to hear people talk, and you don't damage your hearing :)

just remembered Matt Darey - Moody was played also...
I did notice the sound system very much different to the last time i was there when Cam played at PUNK...i remember that night i was literely deaf, but last night i could still hear stuff behind that ringing sound. :whip: |

yea Rompy on ITM but I dont really post there much anymore
I should definitely get earplugs then, I need to protect my hearing because I'm already half deaf in 1 ear (not from clubbing). Reason I havent tried using them is because I figured I would not be able to hear people talk (already can only hear people if they talk in my right ear).
Any tips on where to get them and what type etc?
Good to hear the sound system will be better in the future

just get cheapo ones from the chemist.
you can actually HEAR people talk BETTER with them! |
