'techno' is ignorant, how can you even make a stereotype like that? maybe not the stupidest comment i've ever heard, but it is certainly up there in the ranks. |

after reading this whole thread
lotz of u are either stupid or ignant. :whip: :whip:
bottom line just cuz your christian or "christian" or religious (generally speaking) doesn't mean you are not allowed to or don't listen to EDM.:whip: :whip:
if there are priests molesting children and pastors committing adultry what keeps the regular "sheep" from listen to dance musik. |

people who are not into electronic dance music often call it "techno" but anybody that's in the scene knows that "techno" is a specific sub-genre. Mauro Picotto, Chris Liebing.. I can't name many because I don't really like "techno".
I don't care what some book says. In id3 tags they're separate categories that's what really matters ;) j/k
but seriously, techno is techno, trance is trance and the 2 really don't have anything to do with each other except for they're both electronically generated and spun by DJs |

I think u misunderstood him, he meant techno can be hardly called a music metaphorically because its so brutal and hard |
Partially, but I also meant that a fair amount of techno is compromised of simple beat/bass loops with some hi-hats, few vocals. It may be brilliant to listen to, but its so raw and nihilistic that it doesn't compare to other styles of music. |

im christian and i listen to techno, furthermore, i also listen to industrial, which is many times more satanic and evil than techno.
guess my secondary music interests just proved that statement wrong. |
Well, are you a believer? Do you go to church?
Do you listen to industrial while driving home from church prayers on sundays?
I think not.
As for techno:
For the general public, the webster definition is the one that applies.
As soon as one gets into electronic music, that definition is unusable, and techno becomes a subgenre of ELECTRONICA.

Something my friend noticed. He is techno DJ playing UK Acid and Sweedish Techno and he says Christian people do not listen to techno...
And I had some friends over and they happened to be christian. He was playing techno and kept saing that that music would sound great in hell :disbelief . And they kinda were looking like this :nervous: :nervous: .... So i guess it's kinda true, what are the thoughts on the subject.
In addition, Moby used to make hardcore techno tracks and then he became a christian pansy and started producing things for the new Britney's Pears album.... |
This is some stupid ! |

He never said anything about what DJs play.
But there is a difference between Techno and Trance. Anyone who says differently needs to get a clue. Techno is music based around drum loops and simple minimal tunes, where as trance dfor instance is all abourt long strung out synth cords and and euphoric breakdowns..
They are NOT the same music. Techno is the undisputed original and best sound which has been about since the start of electronic dance msuic along with house.
So all of you who think Techno and trance are the same thing, go and have a look at the scene properly and learn about the music you all kid on you love so much... |

Again I have to say it's a bull message. I dare hardly to call for example swedisch techno simple. In my opinion it's much more superior than most trance. For example Hardcell & Grindvik - Outline (Joel Mull September Leaf mix), infact all Hardcell, Hardcell & Grindvik, any Beyer & Henrik B, anything from Dahbaeck, Hertz, Mull...Bacto.
simple beat/bass loops with some hi-hats...:haha:
I think you shouldn't talk about techno if you don't know anything about it!
Are you talking about minimal or something. |
