2003 was for me a “intermediate phase”.
The end of Lightning Records...
The beginning of M.I.K.E. MUSIC.
Setting up my publishing company linked to BMG and some signings of new upcoming talents.
With a new setup based in s’Gravenwezel,a small city outside the area of Antwerp,we choosed this location cause we wanna avoid BIG city stress.
Soon Club Elite Records was born under marketing supervision of Armada Music,and Scanner was heading a new direction with new upcoming talents.
Stefan aka Scannerboy joined me on this trip and became A&R and Promotion Concultant inside my company.
First of all there are some changes on the way for 2004.
Projects as PUSH,PLASTIC BOY,SOLAR FACTOR and M.I.K.E. will get my fully attention this year..
But all my other projects will be closed down for now..as for 2004..
As my first M.I.K.E. artist album is on the way..this will be my first priority!
The album will contain new tracks and some promising collaborations..
A Plastic Boy album is scheduled later this year,and a new project with Armin Van Buuren and Fred Baker.
And of course the anthem i’m gonna write for this years Antwerp Is Burning 2004 and the compilation for this edition.
People also may forgot i got big influences from outside..
From all time heroes Depeche Mode to Missy Elliot,Timbaland and old skool Electro-pop.
I worked 2 years on a project called “DIABOKUA” wich will see daylights on Sony Records feb. 2004.
This project means a lot to me,as this is a new direction in sound and production.
All info can be found soon on www.diabokua.be or com.
The music could be situated between underground r&b with electro-pop influences.
It would be nice to give me some credits here as a producer / dj / remixer.
Dance is ONE..will NEVER put this behind me!!!
And i still will concentrate on my dj'ing and upcoming gigs.
Growing as an artist/producer is like a painting or a good wine that gets better year after year.
W’ll see...2004...kick ass!!
