For all the people who love progressive trance....did you like it straight away or was it just continous playing at clubs etc b4 you started to like it?

Well it grew on me, id have to say i have been collecting records for when i get my technics at christmas, and i have more progressive records than pure trance ones.

It has also been more accesible, with the slight change in the melodic properties of each song. Markus Schulz has produced some good songs that fit this trend, althought it is not happening all around the genre, and the dirty progressive songs are still being made.

For me id be quiet happy to listen to both genres and mix between the two without complaint.

Well, at first I thought it was alright, but a little slow for my taste. And then I think it did begin to grow on me, because I started hearing all the subtleties and deeper parts to the songs, and I began to like prog more, to the point of now, where I like prog more than trance.

I didn't like it really at first, but since i bought turntables and i've been expanding my personal taste of music, i've been liking it better and better :)

Prog trance owns.

Every muysic genre has to grown on you first I think.
I like progressive trance because there are some sounds that really make me feel like I'm diving into something and leaving the rest of the world behind me.
Really nice

Prog House is great as well, but I get a bit dizzy with it from time to time

I think it grew on me over time...

I'm more of an old school prog trance lover (like the gu's 11,12,13,14).

i used to dislike it quite a bit, when i first started getting into EDM... i thought it was too slow and boring, so i listened to a lot of harder, epic, and melodic trance. but nowadays i can't get enough progressive. i think my tastes have developed quite a bit over the last couple years, and i'd say that now i enjoy progressive more than other styles of trance.

yea, same here. The pivotol turning point was at my friends place last summer; everyone was downstairs listening to trance, i was outside with another friend, STONED out of our minds, listening to Digweeds MMII. I'm not saying that because I was high I understood it, but that was like the final push into progwhoreland; and I never looked back from there.

The Sasha, Nick Warren "Progressive Trance" is my favourite style, but I love it all.
