| We are trying to book everything this month as some of us have to put in our vacation time for next year. If I go through a travel agent, it'll cost $1700 for 9 days 7 nights including plane and a nice hotel (Los Molinos). Doesn't seem too bad. I would love to stay at a villa like you guys but that doesn't seem feasible to me at this point. That'll end up being more than $2000 just for plane and hotel. |

Well as far as airfare goes....a girl at work went to Spain the first week of September of this year (Barcelona) and said she paid abotu 600 round trip from Chicago to Geneva and then Barcelona back to Chicago. And since using non-matching returns usually costs more I think it should be a safe bet to think you can get a US airfare for August less than 1000 bucks.
It all depends on a lot of factors of course. But I am keeping my eyes peeled. Just need to know when it is to be able to make more definitive plans.

Here's the thing ... Usa to anywhere in Europe is a decent amount of money during the summer but INTRA EUROPE is where they really get you. My friends flew to Spain then took a flight from spain to ibiza which cost then almost double what they payed for there Usa to Spain flight. |

| ^I thought there was a ferry from Spain to Ibiza? If that's the case, why would you pay to fly? |

I'm not sure how your friends booked their flights, but my experience has been VERY much the opposite. Travelling within Europe is *very* cheap once you're there. Did your friends return directly from Ibiza to the States non-stop? That'd definitely do it if that's the case.
We flew from JFK to Heathrow, then Heathrow to Amsterdam, train to Berlin, flight from Berlin to Ibiza, and then a return from Ibiza to JFK via changes in Madrid and Heathrow. It wasn't easy coming back, but the price was right. All told, our intra-Europe flights were all under US $100 each. And I've heard the same from people who live over there. :conf: |

I might come as well and bring a friend. I can have an appartment with flight (8 days) for just 430 Euro
Renting a car for the week is 230 Euro (I hate busses)
I guess the choice will be either Loveparade or Ibiza |
