hmmmmmm, maybe overheating is a problem. Its impossible to get hold of one of these mixers in the UK and the demand is high. Apparently JAN 12th is when they'll be in but i was told December back in November. Maybe they are fixing problems such as overheating.
I've used a friends and the faders are hot, only the effects are the downside, but who needs them anyway, they are just for ppl who want to cover up there dodgy mixing :P j/k |

Well nothing at the moment really, I been working alot so haven't had time to do anything, but I'm off on Monday, so I'm gonna try and do something then, still dunno exactly what I am gonna do, I think I'll give it one more try, or maybe let the mixer run for awhile at the store and if it heats up alot then I won't bother and will prolly get the VMX300, I'll be lucky if my head is straight to do this, cos on Sunday night I'm going to see Lisa Lashes and Judge Jules and its gonna be a storming night, I'm not in a mad rush, cos if I leave the effect on one of the filters (the effects won't be turned on, but if its set on any other effect the mixer starts to play up) then I can mix fine, from what Gandy said maybe I will see into the new shipment and find out if they have solved the heating problem, cos if I can get a this mixer to not play up I'll be so chuffed, but only time will tell, and I'll keep people updated on whats going on so it will help other people in the future. |

| GREAT mixer for entry level, mid-level. i've had mine for about 3 months now, and i've never had any problems with it. The only thing i can complain about is the effects unit, which really sucks. other than that, definitely go for this mixer, you wont be disaapointed. |

*major bumpage*
just checking up to see whats the update on the situation with this mixer. anyone had any new problems rise up? anyone return theirs? have a friend who just acquired a pair of CDJ-1000Mk2's, will be getting vinyl decks sometime in the future, so a 4chan mixer would be nice. but after purchasing the cd decks, he has not much money left atm, and his old mixer died, so he is in the need to get a new one. anything anyone wanna say about the DJX700 now? anything new? was it infact a scam, or was it the deal of your lifetime? |

I've had mine since the begining of October. I have had absolutely no problems with it. I have gotten a lot of hours of use out of it since I basically use it every day.
I have devices connected to all 4 input channels and have no problems mixing between any of them. There is no bleeding or static. While the effects are not the greatest, they sound just fine on mine, and I have played around with them a lot.
Mine gets warm, but never as hot as some people have reported in this thread. Thats probably something worth looking in too.
Overall, for the price, you can't beat it. It has a 1 year warranty, and the customer support is great. I love mine. |

| Mine does get warm a little. When I recorded to my computer, the sound quality was utter crap but that may be due to my needles and soundcard. Also the effects are pieces of shiet. ALl the effects pretty much sound the same. Other than that, it does hte job nicely. I just posted a mix in the amateur dj section using this very mixer. |

| i heard that the mixer was a cheap peice of . the quality of the wiring was poor. you get what you pay for |

| The effects channel bleeds at times...can be heard on the channel that it isnt selected for. Anyone experience this? Or maybe my unit is a defect. |

| Wow with all the complaints this mixer is getting, i'm lucky mine doesn't have any serious problems. In the future i plan on gettin an allen and heath. For something, cheap, i'd suggest stanton or numarks |

ya know i really havnt seen all that many complaints about the mixer...other than the fact that the effects are obviously not as good as on the pioneer....
i havnt had any problems whatsoever with mine and im happy i made the purchase and saved the money for some extra vinyls....
its funny though how people say "i hear its a piece of , i hear it sux, you get what you pay for" and all that crap....of course saying this means 1. you dont have the mixer, 2. you dont know what your talking about, and 3. you can stfu |

i've had mine for a while now (since october i think) and i have had no problems at all.
i don't think mine gets hot...but when i mix the only thing i touch on it are the faders and knobs, not the back of the thing.
the sound quality is very very good. when i record into my computer it sounds great (i do have an awesome soundcard and ortofon concordes though)
the effects are kind of useless, yeah. it's true that they aren't loud enough and when you use them and turn up the effects volume, the song is turned up. this is bad so i basically never use them.
anway the faders i found a bit tricky at first, you have to use a real gentle touch on them! but they are good! (i don't ever touch the xfader)
i only have 2 channels used (no cd dex) so maybe that's why mine doesn't get hot?
one issue i have is the levels, it will say the levels are the same on both your channels but when you listen to what you recorded it does't sound like that. or maybe i just need to check my levels by ear.
great mixer, i'm happy to have it. it works great for me! |
