bla bla use the search use the search etc etc etc
none of that please. just wondering, the people who have BOUGHT
this mixer, used/abused it for a while, how is it holding up?
any breakdowns yet? deteriorations in sound? hows the overall
feel of it after you've given it some track time? was the $200US
investment something you now regret, or are you giggling like a
schoolgirl at the steal this mixer is? discuss please.
in case of breakdowns, please refrain from the "yeah im happy it
broke down because behringer sucks donkey penis" posts. no need
for that, whats the point? also, please refrain from "this will
be the death of the DJM600", no one is asking that. sorry, but
just trying to kill flames before they start... |

| It gets extremely ing hot.. and the effects unit is not the best one out there... The DJX that my buddy has, is having these problems right now... it gets so hot that the effects unit goes all staticky. (sp)... and the back of the mixer gets so hot that you can't even touch it... This might just be a problem with his, but it is still an issue.. Other than that it is a sweet mixer... Great Faders, and crossfader... good sound quality on a home stereo setup... |

Thats right, hes refering to my mixer, this is the second one I have owned, the first one, played up BIG time, I'm sure there was a gremlin inside, so I took it back and got this one, everything is awesome EXCEPT the dam effects unit, it worked fine at first for the first month, but now is playing up, I know you get what you pay for, but this is really bad, I'm sure its cos it heats up so much, the back and bottom of the mixer get super hot, and I think thats what makes it play up, so its not the effects unit really, I think its the power converter inside, or something else to do with power supply, I got told that there was such demand for the unit that Behringer decided to rush the orders and in a way put the mixer together rather crappy, I still love it, but I'm just not sure anymore, I will either take it back, and give it 1 more shot, or get the VMX300 instead, or save for awhile and either get the DJM-600 or an Ecler Smac40, I would prolly go for the DJM, cos I'm used to it and have been for along time (thats why I got the DJX), and basically love the DJM, if anybody has any overheating problems like mine please say so, I wanna know if its all the DJX line or just the first XXX amount, cos I would really like to keep this mixer.
Oh and one more thing, Behringer sucks donkey balls, and this will be the death of the DJM.:D :D :D |

Hey bro, I've had it for over a month now and I've had absolutely no problems with it... yea the effects are garbage, mainly because in order to even hear the effect you need to turn the effect volume all the way up, and when you do that, the volume of the song itself goes up alot, which sucks donkey penis like you said. I never use the effects, but the faders (cross and up) are awesome and responsive, and so are the equalizers which I use alot... the kill switches I don't use as often as I thought I would for some reason, though they work fine and are precise in timing and everything else.
The 4 inputs are definitely a steal, I'm using 3 inputs as it is with 2 CDJs and my computer... sound quality is a perfect transition from anything else you listen to your music on. 200 bucks is a steal! Not as good as the DJM600 I imagine, but it's nice that it's a replica of it, if I ever go to a club with a DJM600, I'll know it like the top of my penis. |

Thats good to hear that somebody's got one with no trouble, I've been testing out mine today, and before it got hot I tried the effects, without running any music into them, and all of the effects except the filters, are screwed, they come on with EXTREME static pumping through, its like when your TV is not tuned in and it just has that static sound, well pump that through my mixer and then play the effects, and thats what it sounds like, with JUST the mixer running, and its not even hot yet, so I will be taking it back, but I still dunno what I will do about either getting another or a replacement, cos I have to agree the rest of the mixer is a mega steal, it sounds good and has 4 inputs, with awesome EQs on each one, so I really dunno, the only thing that puts me off the VMX300 is those huge ugly beat match and assist buttons with the huge bpm display, I know the DJX has them, but there small buttons and have small displays, so its not as bad, well hopefully I will hear of some more good responces to the DJX after using it for along time, I ain't taking it back for about 5 days, so I got some time still to think about what to do. |

The mixer is amazing. I do not regret my purchase at all.
Yes, it did get hot for the first little bit I had, but then I isolated it on my table away from everything else and it is cool as a...
Anyways, the FX are alright. Yes, on some of the FX the volume does indeed go up when you use them. I am starting to be able to change the gain in sync with the volume increase caused by the FX. That comes with time.
Remember, with the money you're saving on this mixer you can easily afford to buy a sampler to compete with other similar mixers and still have money to blow.
One thing I don't like about the mixer is the fader curve. I don't mean the crossfader, which is adjustable, but the individual channel faders. It seems that they work exponentially or something, you can't hear anything until at least 7, after which it's a huge increase.
Another thing I dislike is the layout of the channels. You can not have a turntable on the first channel as it is only line inputs. This is annoying for my setup of two decks and a dual cd player, because I can't have the dual cd players on the middle channel. It's trivial, but it's counter-intuitive to use if you're in a situation like me.
This mixer is top drawer, and worth every penny and more. It comes with a year warranty or something, and from what I hear the customer support with Behringer is superb. I would highly recommend this mixer, and it works perfectly except for the aforementioned trivial flaws. |

| I'm gettin some weird buzzing noise when there is nothing playing at all. Its not audible when music is playing loud but can be heard when the volume is down. I thought it was my needles but i'm starting to think its the DJX |

I actually don't seem to have that problem, or maybe I don't notice it. I almost always have the trim at the lowest. I have the individual channel faders anywhere from just under 5 to max, and I don't really notice anything different. I keep the audible volume to ok levels with either the master fader or my ghetto ass speakers
and yeah, the djx gets hot... i use it as a "stereo" with a single cd deck, but stopped because I'm kinda scared about the heat after several hours of having it on.
since its my first mixer, I don't know if this is a problem or anything, but at least i know that other people's mixers get hot too
