I've had the mixer for a couple months now.

It was definitely fun learnin on this mixer. THe innaccuratte LED's made me match volumes with my ears. Also, you need to be real gentle with the volume faders. Because of this, i found that the crossfaders works better.
DKNYLade: You say u get good sound quality with this mixer? Well, I have a soundblaster Live Value and Stanton 500AL-II's. What soundcard do u have? With my setup, the soundquality was utter crap. I think i will be investing in a pair of ortofons soon to fix this problem. However, i did master it with izotope ozone and once i listened to m mix over and over again.. it did sound pretty pleasing to the ear. |

| true. sorry guys. i meant that i heard other people say its - not including my opinion. but i just dont really like it too much. i dont like the effects on it. but i really cant complain. i saved money buying it. its not like a need some thousand dollar mixing to practice on. |

yeah it might be your needles, or even the speed of your computer can affect how it sounds. also your cabling , and if you put it in the correct input (you prob did). mine sounds fine, but i do have the best carts out there ;) if you want to hear how it sounds you can check out any of my mixes made after tribute to brain. (that was with a crappy stanton mixer, and still didn't sound too bad)
anyway, yeah that's the way i look at it...why would i spend $1000 on a mixer (Namely the dj-m600) that does the same i need the behringer to do, just a little better. i'm not running a club here, it's just for recording sets, doing radio shows, and my own enjoyment. i need the rest of that money to do things like, uh, eat. (and by eating i mean buying more records) |

| yeah man, no probs here. Didnt ever notice it getting hot. Bought mine about 3 or 4 months ago, runs smooth like butta. dknylady convinced me to get it, good recommendation. Listen to her sets, she kills. FX are kinda lame, but eh, who gives a crap. EQ and kill switches are pretty nice. Other than that theres no real bells or whistles, except for the crappy BPM bull. I just put a piece of tape over the readouts. They distract me. |

| why does everyone complain about stanton al-500's getting crappy quality when they record?? i used the al-500's to record my first two mixes and the soudn quality is fine. nothing amazing but the sound is clear and somewhat loud. only aabout a week and a half ago i got two shure whitelabels and i've been using those. i think the al-500's are decent needles, its prolly just all of ur mixers/soundcards that are horrible. :rolleyes: |

^^ How can you honestly compare the DJX700, to the Pioneer DJM-600? That's like comparing a in Ford Fiesta to a Lambourghini. I have used the DJM-600 & the DJX700 and can say the DJX700 is a milestone away from ever being comparable to the DJM-600. even my Numark PPD01 blows the DJX700 out of the water. Mainly because the effects on that mixer as well as the DJM-600's I play at gigs on actually work and sound good. |

Well i can 'honestly compare' the two because they do the same damn thing basically.
did i not say the pioneer does it better? uh yeah i think i did. i've also used them both.
i also explained, in detail, my reasons for choosing the behringer. if you're pissed at me for saying it, why don't you just send me over $800 so i can get the pioneer. thanks, i'll be waiting. |

hell i just realised that after a month of usage, when i use the faders in the headphones, they crackle. its only on a particular channel(4). it doesnt affect the mix in the monitors, just in the headphones.
anyone else have a similar experience?
is that deemed worthy of a replacement set?? only trouble is i have to travel all the way to singapore=( |
