A friend of mine pointed me in the direction of this site
: http://www.exposingsatanism.org

It took me a while to realise these guys are for real.
They are basically saying that "everything" is evil & satanic.
Take this example from their forums

quote:
Personally, I believe that there are too many immoral practices being portrayed in today's music and media. Just the other day I flipped through the channels and came to the channel MTV and it showed a young woman with barely any clothing on doing something that I will not speak of in respect to everyone reading. Let it remain that she was doing something EXTREMELY immoral.

I have read some lyrics to "hit" songs and they encourage people to do drugs, drink alcohol, and even murder. One lyric even suggested (and I caution readers in case they are offended by violent materials not to read further) to kill your mother and paint the world with her blood.

This has gone too far. The government must put bans on this sort of music and other media that encourages people do perform immoral practices and to support Satan. But for now, it seems that nothing will change. Everytime this issue is presented, it is shunned off because it would threaten the right to Freedom of Speech.

Throw away the television....monitor what your children listen to on the radio....bug the room if you have to....know their friends and where they are and what they do at ALL times....keep tabs on them and they will not go astray

For now, we must find consolation in the fact that those who write the lyrics, sing the song and encourage immorality will have to answer for it in Hell.

Look forward to feedback from anyone, so feel free to post your views.

:haha: :haha: :haha:

Don't get me wrong, I respect people beliefs and all but the word "Wacko's" springs to mind.
I though the site was a good laugh anyway esp this bit:

the sad thing is, this is christianity. real, unaltered, christianity. most people practice the watered-down, sugar-coated kind with all the benefits and none of the sacrifices.
DigiNut
No offense dude, but a lot of us find Chrstianity and other major religions equally whacko.
Shad0wmaster
wow, that's for real??? losers :haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

edit: The Ouija board, a tool of satan...BWAHAHAHAHAHA

i actually agree with this.

Most religious fanatics are just that....fanatics. You cant judge a religion on how it is practiced by other people, you just need to do what is right. Most religions are in agreement anyways with the same basic rules applying overall; its the people who get caught up in the story and not the message who turn religion into a field of blood on which to fight their battles...

please please please don't think that what that person was saying was "real" christianity. sure, some of the stuff on tv and radio is not exactly the best for people, but the thing's they were suggesting were just way too extreme and implausible and somewhat scary. i hate seeing threads turned into religious debates, but i just didn't want you to think this is what real christianity is. Christianity is about working on your own self, and going from there, not about banning everything that could be remotely bad for anyone just so the world can be all hugs and rainbows. some people just take things too far and form the stereotypes that give christianity a bad name.

i'm sorry, but have you read the bible, or are you one of those select few who believe in Christ as your savior but don't use the bible, which to me makes no sense. (they have nothing to base their belief on.)

of course, an Ouiji board is not of satan, but sexual themes on MTV would be grounds of damnation to a true christian. although your sins would be forgiven, if you wanted to try and live a holy life, it would be something to avoid.

While searching for walkthroughs/FAQ's about the Quake level "Satan's Dark Delight", I came across this which I found even more amusing than the previously posted article:

sorry i deleted that post because after i posted i saw there were much better replies and mine just came off as over the top.

anyways, i do read my bible, quite a bit actually. i wasn't saying that you shouldn't try to avoid that kind of thing(watching certain mtv shows and the like), i was just saying how ridiculous it was to expect the government to ban everything you don't like just because your religion doesn't agree with it. you will find disagreeable things in your life, and you have to deal with it on your own, not just ask for it to be politely put away so you can get on with your happy little life in the clouds. i think that's what you were getting at, if not please elaborate.

I hate people who are like that about their religion. I don't care what they believe or do, but when they try to force it on me, I get pissed.

Ahem.

/me points to avatar.

Someone who is truly born again would NOT fall away from Jesus. You were merely a church member or attendee just like so many of those who are there now. You never met the King of kings, professed him with your mouth and put him in control of your life!! There has never been, nor will there ever be a true Christian who will turn to Witchcraft and Satanism or become an Atheist.

SO what he's implying very clearly is that if someone "strays from the flock" then they cann not possibly have been a Christian in the first place? That to me seems contradictory to the bible
