btw, seems like the cheese definition has evolved.

nowadays it's more of being commercial / overplayed = cheese.

ATRC is cheese because it's overplayed, but that's normal kind of cheese.

there's also dj sammy cheese, that kind of cheese stinks.

In short, "cheese" is a term used to describe tracks which are most usually simple, unoriginal and with an overall shallow feel to them. It's only a matter of personal opinion what's cheese and what's not, and it doesn't always nessecerely make it bad.

I'm going with this defanition

lol, i dont agree with the cheese because its overplayed
if you didnt LISTEN to it so much it wouldnt be overheard

thats like saying that you listened to the best song in the world too much and now its cheese

cheese imo is something like dj sammy heaven, with very very very simple synths and vocals karaoke style, and the song pretty much has no progression, no progression= good for mainstream as most people have a.d.d. now a days and cant handle 10 seconds of a song without a hook or a cheesy synth

but that's what everyone DOES say!

at first, everyone was pissing their pants about ATRC, now they're saying it's cheese because it's overplayed. simple. same with silence and other tracks. because you hear it too often it becomes bland and distasteful. cheesy.
Evil_Gnome
I dont think that cheese is whats overplayed. I think DJ Sammy is cheese.
