surely cheese is in the eye of the beholder!!!
for example someone playing hard house may look at things trancy as cheese, people who like trancy stuff may find comercial stuff cheese, commercial may find pop cheese and so on. this can work in all directions as i find some hard house things cheesy and such.
so maybe cheese doesnt have a definition as such perhaps its all down to (as always) personal preferance.
for the origonal poster of this thread if your woried about what is aceptable and not DONT it bust makes you a clone!
Be yourself, play what you want/like and dont emulate other people!

| Cheese is an exagerrated or cliche track. 5 minute breakdowns, really "happy or really dark" synths/melody, something tryin' to "fake" something (see UK garage), inane lyrics, [most] hard house, all 2step/UK garage.. |

| Usually tends to be tracks that are made for commercial success, to appeal to pop music fans. Stuff like DJ Sammy, Ian van Dahl, etc. The stuff that sounds really poppy, watered down, and has overdone lyrics that make you cringe... |
