hmmmmmmm, yes that is one bad part of war. BUT, what happens to my country if we don’t go over there and kick their ass, and why haven’t I seen nor read anything about this? I'm not buying this one websites thought on this matter.

yeah, you can't blame just bush. and killing bush will not solve anything. it was like the dirty dozen (i think, maybe part 2? or some other movie?) where the U.S. special forces had a chance to shoot hitler, but one of they guys said something along the lines of "if you shoot hitler it won't end the war. someone else will just come along and take his place." same thing here. besides, bush is a ing idiot. he's merely a tool for some unseen people to run their own agenda. i mean, look at his appearances on t.v. if he has a speech that has been prepared for him, he does fine. but as soon as reports start to ask him questions, he just looks like the bumbling idiot that he is.

anyway, i think the US gov. needs to either research the ill effects of depleted uranium or at least acknowledge that it does do some pretty ed up things, er, i mean it is an efficient killer. isn't this the reason for the first gulf war syndrome? ing government.....

How about Iraqi ragheads setting bombs by the road every day and blowing folks up; ours and them? Didn't see none of that. Didn't see 30 years of atrocities by Saddam and mass burials either that we're digging up now. What you do see is a few dozen f-cked up folks. That's the nature of casualties of war. Don't blame Bush for ending the atrocities. I mean we should've stopped the killings in Camobida or Rawanda or even Bosnia or Kosovo before it got out of hand by the hundreds of thousands. I guess the US figures whether the saving of life in a particular area is worth the effort because the UN certainly can't do its friggin' job...

You know, I really want to believe this is true, but given the fact that depleted uranium is only slightly radioactive I sincerely doubt that ~300 tonnes of it (mostly not in bagdhad... the first gulf war we routed them but never actually stormed the capital) could increase the background radiation levels to 1600 times their normal levels, not to mention humans would practically be melting outside (and inside) their homes.

Uranium radiation is not even close to the same level of radiation that comes from reaction byproducts (the stuff that the U.S. is going to bury under yucca mountain) and I think it's a bit misleading for them to imply that it is. Depleted uranium is uranium that isn't good enough to be used in a weapon or a reactor, because it has a notable lower radioactive index.

Depleted uranium is very useful in bunker busting bombs, or to be used as ballast and such because the material is so dense (u-235?) it makes lead look like a gas... However, if these numbers aren't fudged then what the us has been doing with those weapons is nothing short of a crime against humanity.

the flash movie itself disproves it to most...
any substance with a halflife of 15 billion years or however many they said is NOT VERY RADIOACTIVE
if it takes that long for a peice of DU to turn into half a peice of DU its not really emitting jack is it?

Vivid please don't be a fool, learn something about economics, the US imports most of its goods...and the US accounts for roughly 35% of the worlds economy...if you got rid of us you would be living in a log cabin in canada hunting bears, so please think before you speak.

lol why does everyone hate Bush so much? He may be a retard, but it's not like every decision made is his own. He's merely a tool for the true power in the government. It would be the same no matter who is in office.
