Because if you hate Bush then your "cool". What i find funny is that during the cold war we had all these European countries more than happy to base US assets in their country (ie Pershing missiles in Germany). Now that the cold war is over these same countries are like " off", I would love to see how much the US spent on protecting Europe and the western hemisphere from 1950-1991.

Depleted uranium is very useful in bunker busting bombs, or to be used as ballast and such because the material is so dense (u-235?) it makes lead look like a gas... However, if these numbers aren't fudged then what the us has been doing with those weapons is nothing short of a crime against humanity. |
Not only is that a correct statement but it interesting to note that that same "harmful" depleted Uranium is also what is used in chobham armor (used in the m1 and challenger tanks), which is made by the UK by the way (and just so happens to be the best armor in the world).
People with facts are the worst enemies of people with opinions....

| regardless of the scientific basis behind the uranium thing, that flash was hideous...i can't believe the US can allow that stuff to happen and still claim to be the greatest country on earth. |

yeah... I'm pretty sure we have our own oil here too.. in Alaska, Texas and the gulf of Mexico.... But why use ours when we can use the middle easts??? Use their oil and when it's all gone, then maybe we'll have to tap into what we have...
You know what would be truly interesting, if the U.S. adopted a new policy of isolationism... the rest of the world and let them do whatever they want.. We are totally self sufficient here. Let the rest of the world figure out their problems by themsleves without our help and aid. THEM. I give up trying to help anyone else. |
