U.S. forces capture a number of wanted Iraqis in Tikrit, possibly including former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, U.S. officials say. Identities still being confirmed.

I hope it is him, it looks like it on telly, and we'll find out in time I guess, buut the people who have suffered because of him, hopefully they will be able to live how they should, firstly in freedom

You gotta love that pic, something about despotic tyrants, gives me goosebumps to see them be held accountable for their actions, if only there could be more of them brought to trial.
Arrested with a Kalishnakov, and two pistols at his side, So much for dying a warrior and Al Jazeera's will miss their favorite media supplier, they'll miss those audio tapes:D I sincerely hope that Iraq can improve in the area of security, of course the freedom fighters, terrorists and etc will continue with their campaign, question is for who to come to power. |

| Yup. Confirmed it's him. Great news indeed. They reported that there was no resistance and that he had millions of dollars in U.S. cash with him. He was buried in a small hole in a farmhouse south of Tikrit. Now if only they can get Al Douri. |

Apparently it turned out to be about 750, 000 US dollars in the end, the original reports were somewhat exagerated. |
