Alot of Americans are brainwashed because they easily believe what they see. What they dont understand is they are believing what the government wants them to believe - the government doesnt show the American people what is really going on for obvious reasons. This is why when I listen to the news I try to listen to BBC world news.
When you listen to news from the perspective of people hired by the government you are going to hear alot of bull just to shut people up and not to raise questions. If Americans knew about the covert plans that are top secret - how would you like that? I just want to refer to the assassinations of JFK and MLK - who orcestrated this? The US government. It was only after the FBI files were put under review that some of these things were revealed.
I dont like American news, Israeli news, and the Algezera because all of them are biased opinions about what is going on overseas, each tries to make itself look like it is the best or better than the others or just innocent. |

y'all are comparing television news stations as if they're the only source of news. here's some news: television news sucks. it's terrible. all television segments are based on the fact that the average adult attention span is six seconds. what kind of news are you getting there? it's called info-tainment for a reason.
please read some newspapers. yes that's plural, you must read at least two or three news sources if you want to get the story. newspaper coverage has more depth, detail and respectability. learn to spot bias and stop complaining that everything is slanted. of course it is! as long as you know you're reading biased coverage there isn't a problem; you're smart, no one can pull the wool over your eyes unless you let them.
give up that television news, it's a filthy and moronic habit ;) do something intelligent... READ! |

I'm quite amazed that someone else shares my sentiments regarding the media. All the news media wants is ratings, hence the reason that they sensationalize everything like it's of dire consequence. |

i'm a print journalist, so i feel pretty strongly about it. the hype is so much worse than anything you'll ever see on TA ;) i refuse to watch any television news, it's all boy crying wolf. |
