Going a little off-tangent here, but I need someone to ID a track Sasha dropped right at 6:00 AM as he was kicking it up a notch. I hope a TA may remember/know what I'm talking about. If I'm not mistaken, it was the only song of the evening with (female) vocals. I've heard him play this haunting tune once before, and when it made the hair on my arms and neck stand up for the second time 'round, I realized it was a duty to find out what it's called!

Sorry guys. I just realized this question has already been posted, although I would not describe the song I am referring to as "uppity and happy". I am still recovering from heavy partying as you can tell! I will check out the Unkle track to see if that's the one.

i think i kinda labeled that song wrong...the song i was talking about wasnt really uppity, i guess it just got me uppity! the one i was talking about was UNKLE- in a state (sasha rmx)....but the vocals are male

soooo good

AND

Hehe... the tracklist above is actually mine :) I'm glad my napkin-tracklist-writing skills didn't go to waste.

Great night overall, as I said before.

Here are some pics I took:

SASHA @ AVALON PICTURES

I'm not sure of the webspace traffic allowed, so it might shut down for a little while, after a couple of views.

speaking of napkins, I was the boy going back and forth from the bar throwing hoards of napkins in the air at the very end of the night before the lights came on---

it was in the spirit of Miami---the bartenders down there do it all the time, and youll notice they do it at crobar in nyc too....a cheap way to have a little fun. I was also blowing the party favor whistle at the end of the nite. hope that didnt annoy anyone. it wasnt too loud or obnoxious i think...

It certainly wasn't a waste. The song was indeed Unkle's "In a state (Sasha mix)". It has such a melancholic tone to it, which I really like. Sasha closed his Creamfields 2003 set with it, and I remember going around asking all these nice British kids if they can tell me what that "choon" was, and everybody - I mean everybody - either didn't know/care or was too hammered to be comprehensible! Thanks again. You guys are the best!

Thank you, thank you! Although I should have probably been a little more creative with my handle.
