Yes but do you have motorized seats???? DO YOU????
Plus my shocks have their own sound system. Whenever I go over a big bump I get to hear some baddass squeaks. I call it, progressive machine techno-breaks. |

My car kind of looks like this:
Except that car is missing some of the super-charged, aerodynamic dings that my car has. |

Unfortunately its an automatic. I wish it was a stick, that would be great fun
Its on its second engine, a 305 v8 pretty similar to the factory one as I understand. Its not in good enough condition to risk driving it too fast unfortunately, once I get out of school I might put some money into it, only a few more years until it has aged a little more out of the white trash age and into the classic phase I think.
Thats pretty much all I know about cars and racing and stuff, I doubt I will ever race any car against other people, nor try to win one of so many of these car based internet arguements so say what you will about other peoples cars. I think its an awesome car and the best thing that I can get at this stage in my life, I like that it has a bit more speed to it than more common cars and has a bit of uniquness to it, and I like the 80's straight-line kinda design too, If anyone knows of some cheap ways to restore the thing, please dont hesistate to say something to me. |
good to see another US TA with an affinity for American muscle rather than the import craze. Dont get me wrong im not trying to bash imports, i think all kind of car restoration and restomrodding is cool.
That being said, you said u want cheap ways to restore it. Have you checked out catalogs. You can find a lot of Catalogs for free or a couple bucks. Check out Year One, Camaros Unlimited or catalogs like that. Also Hemmings motor news is your number 1 classified ads dealer pick up a copy of that and browse thru it. Each months issue is couple thousand pages!
Check out swap meets too. How close are you to Pennsylvania? Im about 2 hours away from Carlisle, PA, home of one of the biggest car show and swap/meets. I go up there for the All Ford Nationals. Its great i found four chrome wheels for my cougar for 80 bucks, plus exhaust manifolds, doors, rear quarters and a full front grille assembly all for less than 250 bucks!
anyways just a couple suggestions! i really dont have the time right now to restore my car, so like you its just a daily driver that i keep in check. Once im outta college im takin it apart and rebuilding it. :D |

Unfortunately the import show they had there has been canceled due to a few who ruined it for everyone. Luckily I was able to make it to this years show, which was my first time going so at least I got see what it was all about.
I don't have anything against American Muscle myself, my dad owns a 1968 Pontiac Grand Prix so it's sort of in my blood. But I do love my imports way more. :tongue3 |

That literally is my car. :D My mom had a Saab 900... nice car, up until the part where it caught on fire in our driveway (this was a long time ago... like 1988 or 1989).
Anyway, whether your car is a Ferrari or a Geo Metro, it's your car so you should take pride in it. Some people see cars as a vehicle to take them from point a to point b. Some people see them as much more. You need to respect everyone's opinion. So I don' think this thread is a list of the tiest cars ever (as someone mentioned above).

i definetely agree with that. While I would love an M5, the 900's got character...plus, all the ladies like it, for some reason. :D
oh and Tranz...he was talkin about the Saab, not the BMW. |
