No offense but anyone who thinks a VR-4 holds a candle to a cobra in dragging is SERIOUSLY SMOKING SOME CRACK. My good friend owns (and has since wrecked) a 1st gen vr-4 (300 hp stock.. only 9lbs boost) and he openly admits they are ty cars :) 3800 pounds curb weight very lossy and ty AWD transmission not to mention faulty anti lock braking sensor which could easily get you killed in low traction conditions if you didn't know about it. I'll pass, oh and the motors rarely last past 100k with out an internals rebuild. Did I mention nobody has ever broken like a 10.6 in them? www.3si.org.. nope, nobody, not even running juice, not even spending over 50k in mods. It's not possible, the motor sucks and the car weighs to much coupled with the fact the drivetrain robs more horsepower than is imaginable.
You might rip a cobra out of the hole but you'll get bent over about halfway down the track.
Cobra's can easily run 11's with just a supercharger and pulley upgrade.
The only decent "twin turbo" car ever made by a japanese company is the skyline. Supra's are nice, their bottom ends can handle ~ 1000 hp and people frequently run sub 10 slips in them, but guess what? Single turbo conversion... every time.
Twin turbo's suck, that's about all their is too it. The trade off for having two lighter compressor blades and turbines which allows for much faster spool times is a much lower efficiency in said turbine/compressor setup. It's almost always better to go bigger and accept the lag. The exception of course is super exotic sports cars.
VR-4 owners are for the most part just ricers who by happenchance own a fast car.
Any cobra owner would be more than happy to hand you your ricer ass with pump fuel and BPU's (pulley, charger). Meanwhile your running race/plane fuel on 20+ pounds of boost and still getting ripped.
Oh and btw, vr-4 interior sucks. The vr-4 has no saving grace, guess why the project was canned? |

| Just for s and giggles I'll tell you that I drive a busted ass '93 oldsmobile ciera.. Total piece of , but it effectively gets me from point a to point b. Eventually I'll own something nice. I'd like a C6 but first I gotta get through schooling :whip: :whip: |

RICE ALERT. Ask your dad to buy you a bag of long grain rice as well while you're at it. Tell me what exactly the purpose is of having 3 televisions in your car? You should just install a "cool-factor" knob and be done with it because we all know that's the TV's true purpose :)
BTW, glue the rice to the car after your Dad buys it for you. It's analogous to what you're going to be doing to the poor thing anyway..

Dude, what he mentioned has absolutely NOTHING to do with rice. Rice is having a fart pipe and a bunch of that makes your car "look" fast and sound fast but when it comes down to it, couldn't give a Geo Metro a race. He's an Icy Hot Stunna for sure. :stongue: |
