My reasoning is that this poll is a general question directed at the whole of TOTA. After read a couple of the first posts, it seemed like some of the TOTA's felt that the poll didn't give enough options, therefore I added a third. My intention wasn't to take over or modify Highroller's thread or poll but just to add a 3rd category..
I apologize to all who were offended by my modification!

Actually I prefer the modification...
The new choice is now a true representation imho.
Missed votes are just as much a skew since I'm sure there are more than a few that'll vote for the new selection. |

Hey guys, isn't this my poll? I wanted to see if people prefered trance or other forms of EDM. That's what I wanted to see, and that's why I created the poll.
If you wanted to make a poll to see if people prefer trance, EDM, or both, then make your own poll. This was for my own personal curiosity. I would have appreciated it if you asked me before you modified my poll. I don't appreciate this at all. |

If i were you, id just delete this and create it again the way YOU wanted it to originally be. It wasnt distasteful or offensive, so why should anyone have the right to change someones thread?? I like most of the things the mods do as far as keeping things peaceful around here, but as far as this poll goes....i think they've overstepped their (or his) boundries. |

Itikia, I actually voted for the third option, so the usefulness of it is not in question. I appreciate you making an apology. Let me expand on my concern, and please don't take this personally. I realize the job of being a mod is a fairly thankless one and a very labour-intensive one, so for that I thank you as I think the site is much more civil than it was a year ago when it was a free for all. But I have felt at times that you might have taken certain things a little personally and perhaps a more heavy-handed approach than I would consider necessary.
Now, in this one case, I really think you were way out of line. I realize your great intentions, but your reasoning as to why a third option would be useful is not at question here. You and I and Fir3start3r all think the perfect poll would have had that option, which is why we are all free to make our own poll the way we'd like it. Think of it as the radio beeping out part of someone's speech not because of profanity but because the editor thinks it could have been explained more clearly using other words! |

WHy are people crying about this change.
I can see why Highroller would get annoyed becuase he wanted to see the results of his own poll, but others here need to stick some ice cubes up their asses and chill. |

Cyrus King, in fact we are all extremely chill, so don't misunderstand. I for one was not upset, just surprised. I was just giving Itikia some constructive criticism because I know his intentions certainly could not have been to offend anyone, so I thought I would point out how it looked to me. We all can use some constructive criticism now and then as we don't always realize how our actions are seen by others. Remember, your best friends are always the ones who actually tell you when you screw up. |

| Don't really see what the big deal is as far as getting the right results from this poll is. If a person didn't vote in the 1st or the 2nd category they voted in the 3rd. When the poll wasn't changed they just wouldn't have voted at all. So in the end it comes out to the first two options still being proportionally correct to each other, so in fact it can be seen whether "trance or other forms of other forms of EDM" are preferred. |
