yeah, public nudity is accepted especially when you have a sauna or go swimming (in lakes etc, not public pools).

Is it true that the ppl in the Scandinavian countries are the only one's in the world that always takes of their shoes before entering someones, or their own home?

I don't think so, i'm belgian and my whole family do that... and my bf lives in canada and his family does it too.
I guess it depends on how you were raised? :conf:

You seem to have been living in Canada for too long. Vodka is being drank here only occasionally, at parties as namesdays or balls, or in clubs as drinks. The most popular alcohol is beer.

I heard that Russians are said to drink at leat 0,25l of vodka daily. Is it true?

haha, no, it's not.

i drink the least out of all my friends. and very rarely do i ever drink vodka.

Actually the Japanese/Chinese are big about the whole shoes thing. In my asian friends houses they have a little cubicle in their front rooms where you put all your shoes. Its a real big deal.

We also do it in our house but not as a custom, more just to keep the light colored carpet from getting all nasty in the winter.

I think if you divide the yearly vodka consumption in Russia by the population you get a ridiculously high number like that. Alcoholism is a big problem over there.
Having said that, I'm Russian and I don't drink regularly... maybe a few beers in summer, a few vodkas at a family party. But on the rare occasion that I do decide to get nicely drunk, I have been known to go halves in a bottle of vdka with a mate.

vegemite is the bomb! i love the stuff but it is an aquired taste!

worst food ever has to be japanese nato (fermented beans).

aussies still use the word `sick` alot.

and japanese are very habitual with the whole taking off the shoes thing. I`d even dare to say that every house in japan has a genkan (the area where shoes are taken off).

Seriously, I almost never hear sick used in normal conversation.

I really don't get the idea of walking indoors with shoes on? You're indoors, why use shoes? Is it really "standard procedure" in the states?
