I really hope this is not true about bpm:tv and Cinar. :(
I love the channel and most of the music, even the Eurodance which is what got me interested in this stuff.
They are still announcing two new program series to start next week, one on clubbing, the other on older classic dance music videos. |

this is retarded. next they'll fire vishanti and the whole station will collapse and be bought out and will be 24/7 ballet and hiphop.

and good luck to those dumbasses cause they're going to need it if they want to try and last very long. wonder how long will it take for much to kick the 'new' bpmtv in the nuts and tell em to get the fck off the air |

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the shouts of support. I know that station had its share of faults, but it was something nice that we were building and growing. It was hard and pretty shocking when I was let go friday afternoon since it came outta NOWHERE - People in the company didnt even know it was gonna happen. ehh but what can ya do.... Like my mom says everything happens for a reason so god doesnt close a door without opening a window and whatever other positive reinforcement cliches I can think up....
I dont really know what their plans are for the channel, I was just repeating what I was told. But in any case, I hope to party with you guys at Tranceaddict 4year - should be a blast!
In the meantime the Great Canadian Bagel across the street is hiring.... hmmmm free bagels......
Cheers guys |

Good luck FuZioN.
BTW, why don't we petition for an ALL-TRANCE radio station in Toronto? Wouldn't that be cool? |

I WISH! My dream is to launch an all-dance radio station in Toronto. Like REAL radio on the dial - Commercial airwaves with traffic, news, and other stuff.. but the music format and rotation will ONLY be electronic dance music - No urban, no pop garbage - With real radio announcers not just DJs - revolving around a dance music playlist. I think it would do well - VERY well. Unfortunately the people that are making the decisions and controlling the money at these media corporations refuse to try out anything new.
oh well |

good call... the only somewhat dance stations we used to have got cancelled, grooveradio, even nrg 108. there's too much urban & country stations out there...
but then again, i kinda don't want the whole province finding out about our somewhat underground community we got going on here |

| Cinar, what about the possibility of producing independent programs similar to what you've done and sell them to bpm (if they are still in this area) or Much, MTV. $10,000 of equipment, or rent some, and a minivan, you're in business. |

| I dont even get bpm tv and the reason im commenting is cause what Muff2k said in the post 2 before this one. if corporate canada doesnt want dance on the airwaves and on tv, then who cares. that just means they are closed minded bastards who are more concerned about taking a risk than finding success. what we see on tv is controlled by the almighty dollar not the quality of content. the underground culture is what makes this so special. im sure if we all found out that tiesto was dating britney spears, we would go insane with anger. haha. you know what i mean. is it just me, ive liked songs for months only to hear them on the radio and instantly hate it after that. radio techno makes me want to puke. am i right???? :conf: :conf: |
