I was just saying that it's clearly visible that he's not boosted. As for the black window banner thing, I agree. I dislike those things, I'd ditch it and put your "sponsor" up there.
As for rice, I despise American cars that are wanna be imports (Neon, Cavalier, Focus, etc). They should stick to their "bigger the engine the better" motto.
What kind of header & catback do you got on that Neon? |

Obviously our definitions of "big" differ. *edited*Your point about the intercooler is rather pedantic as well. While I cannot say definitively whether it's front mount or not, the point is, it is also not "big" and would probably be difficult to see :) */edited*
Running 15 lbs of boost on a 2.4 litre motor isn't a "big" turbo by my definition. Granted, it's limited by the fuel system, but I imagine they can't run anymore than 18-19lbs boost *edit again* [on the] stock [turbo]. 2 of them can't push a 3 litre motor past 22 or 24. Sorry I don't have exact numbers, but the point is, the turbo isn't big :) lIt's a 16g... nothing to write home about.
*edit* Yeah, you're right I really don't give a flying about the Neon because it's a junkmobile fwd piece of crap to begin with :) The turbo just makes it a bit faster, but it still appeals primarily to the ricer variety :)
Yeah, you're an idiot, and your 150 hp car with NO2 is rice. K THX.
I know all those mods sans the NO2 that do next to nothing for performance seem pretty impressive to ricers, but anyone with a brain sees it for what it is: rice. |

I'm not biased either way because i've owned a nissan and have been looking at audis and bmws but I dont understand this whole rice thing. Its so out of hand that anything japanese with anything non stock is being called rice, much like the people here who call cheese to anything that is played on the radio once. Will you call the WRX-STI rice because its an impreza with some mods keeping it up with a ferrari 360?
I'd like to know what non rice is? Do we call every american muscle car or pontiac firebird with some mods white trash because they are basically family cars with a big engine thrown in?
You think on a forum like this originality would be applauded and not ridiculed. |

its "N20" smart one :stongue: trying to be smart and you just sound stupid.. also my friend is running 22 lbs of boost on his 98 SGT eclipse with no probs.. so whats your point on that?? also what do you drive?? and also how can my car be rice if its not even an import?? I like it and thats all tha matters.. i love to hear people hate on my car cuz its a "Dodge" thats probably the whole reason why i fixed one up.. to have something that no one else wants to fix up.. and everything on that car is payed by me and no one else.. ive been working since i was 14 so i have spent a lot of hard earned money into it.. if i could of afforded a BMW M3 or a Porche i would have gotten one but since im only 20 and am working fulltime and going to college fulltime its not gonna happen so i have to settle for a cheap little economy car that is just as fast as most v8's and a lot cheaper on insurance |

For some reason I had in my head that it was 2 oxygen molecules bonded to a nitrogen but it's the other way around. Regardless, your car is not "fixed up", in fact I'd conjecture it's just the other way around. I drive a piece of 1993 Oldsmobile, which ironically, has about 10 hp more than your car (sans the juice). Granted it weighs about 800~ more lbs but it's still funny as that you have your car "sponsored" like it's some kind of hot rod when all it is a piece of grocery getter, much like mine :) Rice can be domestic or import, i'd say it's rather pedantic to conjecture you have to drive an import to be a ricer :)
Just as fast as most v8's! What kind of rock are you smoking?
hmm...
Ford Mustang GT = NOPE
, I doubt your car could take the 6 cylinder gutless incarnation of the mustang (not that the gt isn't plenty gutless for an 8 cylinder).
Chevrolet Corvette = NOPE
Well, I'd say those two are the most prevalent v8 powerplants of today in car form (I'd say the lightning could blow your doors of as well and it's a truck...). I doubt you'll find any modern v-8's that put out less than 250~ish hp which is more than sufficient to smoke you. I doubt your car even puts 200 to the crank with that shot of juice. Besides, not very good on your stock internals :)
Yeah, well besides the fact your friends motor is half a litre smaller than the srt-4's motor. I'm sure that accounts for the 4 lbs dif. :) Besides, who would have imagined, small turbos can run decent boost levels on.. SMALL BLOCKS :) Hey, I bet if you strapped that baby to a metro assuming it could even spool it you could run like 40 lbs. of boost to redline. |

ya, i'm getting really tired of all the civics around here with mufflers and hood locks. Neons look pretty innocent stock, especially with those weird bug-eye headlights. A lot of the cars around here are finally picking up the GO part of car modding, u can hear the turbos and blow off valves every street corner now. Neons can get pretty vicious, not to mention that it's a great idea to think outisde the box and mod something new. keep on keeping on. |

Yeah, you are right. A car is a car. That's the way I see it. It's fun to drive what you like despite of what others say/think. I NEVER see Neons hooked up like that. It's an original way to go. It's people that drive Civic EXs with a can on the back and clear corners that try to race every chance they get that give Japanese imports a bad name. Most people are sadly biased when it comes to cars, which sucks because experiences with cars are alot more fun if you have an open mind. I bet the Neon with those mods could definitely keep up with a mustang GT up until about 80 or 90. We can't forget about engine size here. And comparing a Corvette to a Neon??? Gimme a break! That's like saying, "Hey do you think a cavalier could keep up with a Supra?" It helps to COMPARE COMPARABLE cars. |

This still boggles my mind
you got a 2000$ car and you put like 5000$ just to make it look good |
