Anyone Ever Dealt with this??

Me and some buddies had a little get together at my apartment last weekend. The place was pretty packed, we had a keg, everyone was having a good time. At some point during the night, I had an huge urge to spin so I did.
Soon after some girl walks in my room and says "Excuse me, can you stop playing your 'TECHNO', no one wants to listen to it so can you turn it down or something".
I just laughed and told her to 'f' off and turned it up louder.
Anyways this kind of sh*t happens to me all the time. I'm from Boston and it seems that the only thing that people want to listen to around here is hiphop and all that crap. Nobody I know likes to listen to trance or house or whatever and it sux.
Anyway, sorry for the negativity but I just needed to vent. So I was wondering if anybody else has ever had this happen to them |

| Happens to me all the time when I'm in the car with my friends. Just last week I had Gabriel & Dresden's latest GDJB set playing and somebody goes "This is all the same." Then my other frind goes "Yeah, let's turn it off." So I turned it off and listened to some commercial bull on my suck ass radio that sounds like AM even when it's on FM.:whip: |

i get this all the time off my mates. just turn up the volume and tell them to off. if you like it play it.

| Dude, that happens to me all the time. But usually, I'm the one asking for the dance music, and people get pissed. I would think that Boston would have a huge dance music following, but I guess not. I only have like 3 friends that listen to trance or house, so I'm always screwed. :( |

If i was in the same situation I would have said "sorry, did you say louder? my hearing is really bad... oh and by the way, I kind of live here :)" and then proceeded to put on a real "techno" record :) I gather that witch would have flipped cookies :) |
