Has trance saved your life?

I've got a history with depression... and my life went to a few months back, so I was feeling really suicidal.

I went to Dumonde @ Viva, not knowing what I was going to do myself... but during Marc Aurel - Running (Dumonde remix) I felt so good, and found a new hope in life. It was the best I've EVER felt.

Anyone else had experiences like that?

i found so much solace and appreciation for living after hearing Paul Van Dyk - Vega (starecase remix). I don't know if it saved my life, but it helped me cope through so much that used to happen in my life

yes, i think trance did help me and made me the person i am. but just today, riding in friend's car listening to thrash metal i wondered what i would be like if i listened to thrash metal instead of electronica...

"are we miserable because we listen to pop music or do we listen to pop music because we're miserable?"

If I need something uplifting I listen to Solid Sessions - Janiero (original mix) with headfones. Makes you forget about life for a while :)

btw I saw a video clip of Dumonde at Viva. It looked like a top night! :eyes:

Yes. I had a year of utter . Mostly of my own naive, stupid trivial faults. Trance turned me around. Now my focus is elsewhere (but still occasionally goes back to where I was before in that sense. Only sometimes though...:nervous:

I would always think to myself, "Is there anything Dumonde can't do"? ;)

Trance definately helped me out. I had nothing going for myself until I found that there was a style of music with so much emotion...something so uplifting. DJ'ing, thanks to trance, and given me new life. Thank you Dumonde, Transa, Armin, Tiesto, PVD, and countless others.

Not to mention all the TA's that keep the vibe alive

If you need the comfort of a particular genre of music to keep from killing yourself... you should just go ahead and kill yourself.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

People dedicate their LIVES to making music. You act as though it's of NO importance in the world?

No matt, Religion really saved my life. I would probably be dead if it was not for religion. Music is a nice escape but religion gave me a new outlook on life and a purpose and contentment.

when i listen to Solar stone - Seven cites (atlantis remix), i feel something positive and hopeful. especially the guitar sound makes me think of the summer season. trance is a cure for everything.

here's another good tune for depressionn.
Chicane - Don't give up.

You are a true assclown and most of the time I call people that, I don't mean it but I do sincerly mean it this time. If something makes someone happy and helps relieve depression and it's not illegal and breaks no laws then stfu and let the person have his or her relief. Depression is a serious problem that effects 1 in 5 people and most take medication for it. I've been thru it and it's not nice but if you find something that works for a while and you are not on medication, every little bit helps. Also after all the crap that has happened with suicide and the people that went thru the incidents, I for one feel that it should be left alone and no one should be told to kill themselves...you sir are clueless, please think next time before you speak.

after hearing Tiesto drop Jose Amnesia - The Eternal (pulser remix) @ the Kool Haus at that infamous October 6th, 2001 party, i stood there in awe... i felt this truly uplifting happiness in my life...that i should follow my dreams...and when I did, life woould feel like that moment i expeienced at Kool haus...but this time it would be perpetual.

Thats why Tiesto is and always will be my favourit DJ.
