i finish tipeing this and i only get "sorry this thread is closed" so here i post it again
Now what i would like to say is....
Damn *#$$## admins stop being so hipocritical and alow a man his free speach, jesus people get flamed all the time, its sort of the thing on ta, i remember back in the day when it was a initiating process (now that was all with snoop dogs voice)
But seriosly, were trying to premote an inviroment in which the rights and equality of all comes first, or so i though we were, but if we take away a persons right to critisize someone else then all were doing is becomeing a bunch of yes men till we look like michel jacksons legal adivsers, but hey what can i say. I guess from now on when the admin dosent like someone we should all line up and ban him, what i see here is a abuse of power.
Vivid boys coments were somewhat stupid and not well put, but it is his own opinion and with our contrass we just lose our individuality and isint that what we are striveing to uphold but creating a comunity away from the influences of the pop world, where hip-hop and britaney are not the comanders of the cloths we buy the way we act or the voice behind our opinions.
So yes my fellow tranceaddicts i do say bring vivid boy back and yes i think that this is a unjust show of power by the admins and yes i beleive in a mans right to share his opinion and views on a subject, becouse in orders to be different you have to think different and thats what vivid boy does,

i mostly agree but i just wanna say the thing that pissed me off the most was closing the petition thread
it wasn't even a petition, that was just the title really; we were talking about him getting banned again
and neo's post would have been great for the thread, if it was w/o the thread closed part
ban people if you must, but at least let us talk about it and express our opinions |

I bet swamper has not seen it yet. Petitions get you nowhere most of the time, hence why talk to swamper and let him know your opinion. He decides what to do because it is his site. |

Seriously, this censorship is starting to bug me too. Okay, Vivid's comments in that thread weren't exactly in good taste. In fact, they were downright rude and pointless. But it doesn't change the fact that some mods (not necessarily all) seem to be acting arbitrarily and subject to personal whim.
I think you all should be letting the members deal with the problems of members - and yes, there are times when it gets out of hand and you might need to step in, but that wasn't one of those times, and closing the "petition" was completely unnecessary. Even if his new ban is completely justified, that doesn't mean that members don't have a right to question it. I wasn't even going to mention anything until I saw that other thread closed - I think you're going too far.
For god's sake, the purpose of moderation is to make sure that everybody can just have a good time (and possibly to ward off spam)... you ought to keep personal issues personal.
Edit: I'm not petitioning to have Vivid unbanned, I know he crossed the line, I'm just irritated with how this whole thing was carried out. |
