and all the other soulless tracks. |
Sandstorm was actually a big hit (even PvD played it) just got overplayed like ATCR and people call it cheese now..
And that PPK track has a ing strong melody and its catchy, call it cheese but I enjoyed it when I first heard it... |

| don't just come here and say "blah blah traffic sucks". yes, it may be quite minimalistic and banging. the track itself is not as good as many ppl say, i have to admit, BUT ... (and here comes the interesting part) in a set full of upligting tracks, you would become bored. there have to be filler tracks, like traffic, in it that just makes yo experience the next uplifting part much more intensely. simple, huh? at least i feel so - if i listen to a pvd set, there is some really boring techno in it. but as i hear these tunes, i wish "plllllease an uplifting one" and then it goes bang :) at least this is my opinion. |

Yes, pretty much everyone played Sandstorm and its really nothing
wrong with the tune itself, just the people now bashing it.
Because it hit the charts AND the crowds the people that used
to like it, now hates it and thinks of it as cheese, overplayed and
so on. Hey, nothing wrong with that either BUT(!) then one should NOT
use "the big crowds like it, Tiesto rocks! as an argument.
It looks kinda bad to be dissing big crowds, charts and all that
in one post and then praising it in another.
Atleast when people seem to be stuck at using as few words as they
can instead of evolving their opinions hence making them more interesting
to read and (hopefully) more sane.
I dont think a tune gets bad because it hits the charts, i dont
think a tune gets better by having 50000 people listening to it at
Impulz Outdoors either, I dont even see it as an argument. |

i like it, it's different and can see why it would destroy a club. just the production quality seems not to be the best at all (this judging from a couple rips, i know one of them was from a 32kbps stream :haha: )
this track could have gone out without most people noticing it if it wasn't released by tiesto. it would have never reached the charts. however, by the same argument, it would have never been this flamed if it wasn't released by tiesto. people were expecting some fluffy uplifting crap and then he releases this.. it's the old damn thing that happens when someone changes his style.. some will flame him to death, others will love it and call it innovative. |

still loving it after 1/2 a year, this never gets old for me...totally agree about hearing it out, ala, pvd in central park..track of the night |
perfect example. i wasn't feeling pvd's set at all. then he dropped traffic and got everyone excited, you could just feel the increase in energy. its that type of song. (van Dyk then continued to suck, buts that not the point) |

But, is the crowd going nuts because its an awesome track or because its Tiesto’t track and they think they should??? Sometimes I think crowds tend to go crazy when a DJ plays his own track, regardless of how great or average the track is.
I think it’s a good track...but would people be so hyping it if the Tiesto name was not on the label?? |
