It's funny how these things go...
A couple of weeks ago I was certain I wouldn't be doing "typical" trance anymore, yet here I go again.

Surrogate Saviour - Radiance (OrgaNik's Inner Light Mix) (2:50 clip, 64kbps vbr OGG)

No gimmicks, no breakbeats, no piano, just plain trance.

Comments welcome, as usual.

Gorgeous, it really does sound great. ;)

Plain trance as you said, no gimmicks and so on, which is needed to make me shiver (shivering is good :) ). E.g. I would expect a breakbeat at 2:00 and some juicy creative 2nd/3rd voice melodies ;)

But the traditional trancy sounds sound good of course, and the production is pure quality. I like it.

You know, there actually was a breakbeat in there in the first version but it didn't really work the way I hoped so I replaced it with a 4/4 beat instead. There's a secondary melody coming in later too but it isn't included in this clip.

Thanks for the comments tho, I might make some minor alterations/additions to this if I can be arsed.

The string breakdown sounded a bit too simple and thin for me... after that things got better better though. Good percussion, tight sounds... very well produced, as usual. Definitely interested in hearing the final version...

Comments:

-Dope bassline.
-That bassdrop at 33 seconds is too high for my liking; would prefer it if it started at a much lower freq.
-Percs at the beginning are a little minimal.
-Great pads.
-I like the main lead you use.
-Definitely think it could use a few more percs when it kicks back in but sounds mint otherwise. Possibly a more pronounced open hat in there.

Great work; as you said it's plain trance but it's good plain trance, so who cares ;)
