There was someone with a really handy looking one that involved breeze blocks but I’ve forgotten the name of the thread. :(

breeze blocks?
Vlad
When I get home I will see if I can find a host for the blueprint for my table. It hasnt been built yet, but its what will be built. My father has is own construction/wood working company, so I have a place, utilities and all the wood I need to build the bad boy.

BTW, for anyone interested in building their own table, I would be more than happy to make a blueprint for you. Just let me know how much room you have (theres more factors involved, but that would be taken care of later on).

I dont use CAD, I use the very simple MS Paint, and it does the job. ;)

I'll be glad to host anything you need.

hehe vlad ive tried doing it in mspaint before like when i didnt have autocad at home. took me tooooo damn long to get lines straight and properly distanced and stuff. and it still looked like ass to me. I can zip right through them on autocad though. that drawing up there took 1-2mins.

check out the couch tables at ikea...perfect size for a mixer and 2 decks...been using this setup for 3 years and its cheap and it works.

Im home now, I could use a host for my blueprint - everything has measurements and all places have a number - there is a key to explain what each number represents.

My Custom Table

Im thinking about raising the table another 6".

I dont have everything that Ive listed in the image, but thats the ideal setup. I have:

Technics SL-1210mk2
Allen & Heath Xone:62
1 flat screen monitor

By the end of the year I should have:

Denon DN-S5000, Event TR8XL and Access Virus KC, at the least if all goes well. Its gonna take a while of saving for the Midas (or some other mixer) and a laptop (im still deciding whether I should get Mac or PC).

Edit:
The speaker stand for the monitors will have Auralex shock absorbers for the speakers.

man this thread is the greatest.

hey vlad,

i would love to get a copy of your blueprints, i'm planning on building a table my self as the tables i've seen are too expensive... or don't hold the equipment well.

the table is to be set up against my wall under the window...i'm got about 5ft of width and maybe 2ft in length to work with. the tables should be playing somewhere around 4ft from the ground, so i guess that's where i would like the top of the table to be.

around how much would it normally cost for the materials (i don't have a father that has a construction company). record are already in a seperate cabinet, so i just need something that will hold the tables and mixer, with enough dampening to withstand the bass coming from my buddy's JBLs (12" inchers, kinda big for a house but they sound very nice)

Vlad
I dont know how much my dad gets his materials for, but its definitely cheaper because he gets the stuff wholesale. Check out home depot or something of the sort and see how much a couple sheets of plywood cost.

lol vlad that is actually pretty damn good for mspaint. Dont think I could do that in autocad if i tried, the angle isnt real enough for me to even attempt it. Unless its ment to be angled out, but I think it straight and you just wanted to show the drawers inside without making multiple pics, no? Could prolly do that with 4-5 good pics in autocad tho.
