I would love to see you try to drink enough acid or inject acid into your blood to a pH of 6.36 :p :stongue:

Normal blood pH is 7.4 so, you'd have to have a ton of strong acid in your system to upset your blood buffer :D and by that time, i think youd be dead. Would make a good drunken challenge though


Some skinny people ive seen tend to eat very often in small amounts, like a bit or two of a sandwich every hour or so. I wouldn't really know, just observation

read that article for more information on what to eat and all about alkalizing...doesnt go into big detail but itll give u an understanding...and yes i messed up its 7.36 if it was a 6 ph level u would be dead...as well if u had a 8 u would be dead too

whether it works or not, i just don't see how all that fat can be good for your heart. and hello? there are things like whole grain bread as opposed to that nasty white stuff. brown pasta, rice pasta, whole wheat. i just don't see the point of completely cutting something out of your diet; just don't eat tons of it. as with everything, i'll say this: moderation is key.

that's great that it works for some people, i still don't think it's healthy.

i'm ing sick of atkins this, atkins that. i'm going to make a shirt that says "i *heart* carbs. yes, i shall.

Mee too! I started last week and lost 6 pounds... Though I don't trust my scale... every time I stand on it gives me a different reading.

Sadly, with my body mass loosing 6 lbs is like getting a $6 discount on a Mercedes.... Oh well, back to burgers with no bun and all the charred animal flesh you can sink your predator teeth into.

Best way to lose weight is to exercise.
I'd recommend swimming ~1km per day - that'll get you in shape in big hurry. Just cut ought a few things from you're diet and you won't need any atkins - no pop, no chips, drink hard liquor instead of beer would be a good start.
