On the flip side if you get your mix done early and write it to CD, mail it to me and I'll upload a 160K MP3 to the FTP site for you, same goes to any competitor with a slow link!

Phil

128 kbps ogg is comparable to 192 kbps mp3 or even better IMO because there is much more bass and treble in the rip, which is hearable. If you have some spare time go to my website (the link is in my profile) and download my mix from there which is 128 kbps ogg so you'll see how the quality works.

THC: all versions of Winamp 2.8x or higher support ogg format.

The Same Way Everybody Else Signed Up, By Using Proper Capitalization And Asking To Be Added To The List

I'm cool with the use of 128kpbs ogg files.

I have some ogg sets myself (off other people) and they sound fine through my setup. It just depends how you encode it I guess, I have heard some terrible sounding ogg files in my time...

Hmmm, DJ entries are now closed eh? 1st of March today

Just finished a new set, and the mixing is pretty in' tight if I dare say so myself...

Question: are we allowed to submit mixes we've posted on TA in the past?

For the ogg, I think there would be no problem, but for the moment I'm not judging that one so ask the other judges ;)
