Review: Shine w/ Brad Copeland & Max Graham

| Almost didnt come tonight, but talked myself into it last minute. Glad i did. Excellent night overall, second straight party night sober and i must say im startin to get used to it!! Ran into The Highroller, Time2Burn and Enraptured in line....its always nice when youre flyin solo and you have familiar faces in line before you get in. The music was first supplied by Mr. Copeland and i must admit, the first hour of his set was very "warm-up-ish" (if thats a word) but the second the clock struck 11:00, he flipped it to a more uptempo dirty groove that i always crave for. I could tell he wanted to fully let loose, but was trying hard to hold back a little since he was opening the night. Overall, a great opening that set the tone for Max to do his thang. I need the last track that Brad dropped ID'd DESPERATELY. Max came on, and started a little slow for the first few tracks but got things goin in a hurry. Slapped together everything from melodic progressive, to dirty as techno, chuggy electro bangers....he was just all over the place. Pure versatility this guy brings to the table every time. I was REALLY feelin the hard tho. And the track of the night (which Shawzy ID'd for me) was the new Luke Fair track.....holy . Dont know the name, dont in care.....all i know is that every progressive dj needs this record in their collection. So good. Had to call it an early night due to work in the morning, so i guess im off to bed. In 3 hours, ill be putting my suit on. |

Very dissapointed on what happen tonight with my room. DeepGroove and I got there at 9:45pm and found out our rooms was not ready. I called Curtis right away.
I'm deeply sorry Cutris, about what happen and it was beyond my powers about the room.
HAVE NO FEAR! Curtis will be spining at Invasion 006 next week !!!
I will confirm by mid week if Invasion 006 is gonna be cancelled or not. If everything is not up and running 100%, I will not go forth with this event!
So damn tired ... MAX GRAHAM played the best I've ever heard him!
Good night and stayed tuned with all the info about INVASION 006 by mid week!

| It's too bad that Curtis' set got cancelled but I still had a lot of fun. Both Brad and Max laid down some sick sets. I didn't stay for all of Max's set, but he had me groovin while I was there. Super tight mixing and some killer CHOONS. It was nice seeing everyone again esp. Matt & Tara who I haven't seen in quite a while, was great to party with everyone again. |

Planned to go to this party, then almost didn't, but avikonen changed my mind, and I'm SOOOO glad I went. That was one seriously amazing set from Max!!! For a good portion there, I was running up to Max every song for an ID. Tried to get tw1tch to take some turns and ask instead, but he was too lazy. :stongue: The best thing about seeing Max live is watching him interact with crowd, & the other DJ's. He's a comedy show behind the decks, & I don't think I've ever met a DJ who personally knows the majority of the crowd there to see him, and I think that's great!!! Poor Brad Copeland.... Max was torturing him whenever he went on the decks when they were tagteaming. Pouring cold water down the back of his shirt & pants, on his decks, Boo'ing him from the crowd... and so on. When Max got back on the decks, it was only fair that we boo him back (and no, Brad never asked us to do that, Max! Just my brilliant mind at work again!). Great to hear that "Coastline' track, the new Max tune, and that new track Max signed to his label but wouldn't tell us what it was.
Good to see everyone out- mucopus, tw1tch & Madeline, fn_xtc, Max_cued, metal morphosis, shawzy, speedy2k, E-motion, bubblegirl, vinder, skeletor, mattvagrant, lipstick, charmscars, pixie chick, dj 24-7, mobius (out on a prog nite??), Kevin the lurker, time2burn, LKD, gamma, stereo princess, schryer, jennarae, crazed canuck, dallastar, avikonen & Joon, maxtuh, crazy serb, irish graham, e*master, ezekial, kevinearth, walter mindz, and I know there's more but that's enuf (we gotta go find a house!).

I had a good night moving from one club to another, i first headed down to venue nightclub to meet few friends and i got out at around 12:15 so i made it by 12:30 to see max, he kept playing some banging tracks over and over:eyes:
anyhow i am tired and lets get down to the deal of the pictures-
