, i love conan and all, i think his style of comedy is just awesome...
but...
this was taking it a little too far, especially, as the article has said - french-canadians are a delicate subject in our country, they can get offended quite easily.. and after coments like this, it's not too hard to see why they're asking for the 1 million back that they put into the show coming into toronto
one more thing, i've been hearing that the reason conan came to toronto was to boost moral after SARS....
are we still really suffering from SARS last year????
if so.. we should get some real reduced cover at the major clubs,
and maybe throw our own little dance valley to help bring people back into toronto clubbing |

what's REALLY sad is how ape- the city and the media went for Conan in the first place. We look PATHETIC when all you see on tv, radio, and in the newspapers is Conan this, Conan that. Jeez, we look like starstruck hicks who've never had a celebrity in the city :rolleyes: |

i think you should all ask some people in montreal how the feel about this. I know that had similar comments been made about native americans i would be very upset and question why my tax dollars were used to bring in such a person

I'm part native american and all I can say is, get over it.

In your life, 1/3 of the people will be supporters, 1/3 won't care and 1/3 will be critics; always, no matter what you do.
The trick is to tune out the critics and move on with your life.
